We had a great stay! The views are truly incredible! Sitting outside during sunset and listening to the waves crash was so peaceful. The location was great and we enjoyed driving to downtown Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel by the sea. We went grocery shopping and were happy to see that the kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful location with fabulous ocean views and close to the beach. But, the area in front of the house is not beach. House was well stocked and the beach cart was particularly helpful. The checkin time of 4 seemed very late, especially with a checkout of 10:30. But otherwise the process was smooth. We were traveling with our adult kids and grandkids and fit in the space well. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Beautiful view. Safe area. Close by beach. Lots of amenities. The only thing was. The pictures shows a beach from the patio and there was no beach. All rocks and high tied. I know the tied is different and different time of the year. But it showed be addressed.

I have stayed at this property in past years before it was listed with Vrbo! It’s located close to most of my hangs when I come to Santa Cruz and Capitola! Very Quiet, and clean, with plenty of room! I had trouble with the main Tv set and the upstairs set! Neither had the right controls until I notified the property manager! A TV expert was sent over to find the correct controls.I plan on coming back to A front row seat again soon! Thanks!

Needs TLC and a Refresh

Although the beautiful view could not be surpassed, the space needs a refresh. First impressions: the musty smell was a turnoff; the bed and kitchen linens were worn and dingy; outdoor seat cushions were past their prime; and there was no spare TP or paper towels. These things could easily be rectified.Access to the upstairs is through the garage. This should be noted for anyone with children.Good things - adequate parking, clean updated bathrooms, the host provided a high chair, and a nice common area. The kitchen was fine, and we appreciated the large refrigerator and coffee makers.

Amazing ocean views

This was a great home and a great location. We would absolutely stay here again. The pictures of the ocean view, as beautiful as they are, dont come close to how spectacular the view and sunsets are. We saw whales breach and sea lions and beautiful birds from the back deck. And the sounds of the waves were so relaxing and wonderful to fall asleep too. Communication was wonderful when we had difficulty with the lock box (it could use updating to a key code lock). There was a musty smell when we first entered…but this was not a concern..this had more to do with the location right on the water. I am sensitive to this and opening the windows and airing it out got rid of this quickly. There were 10 of us staying and we had plenty of room.

Most delightful family gathering

We wanted a place where we could all stay as a family for my niece’s wedding. This exceeded our expectations, as it was not just accommodations for the group, but the most delightful retreat for us all, and we made the most wonderful memories in this beautiful spot

Beautiful ocean view

Older home but nice. Two units (one downstairs and a separate unit upstairs.) Patio area was PERFECT - couldn’t get a closer ocean view. Saw seals, otters, Borland even a whale! One item we requested to be added for safety was a lock on the back gate The caregiver said she would talk with the owner. Really though, an excellent place. .

Amazing Home Away From Home

We booked this place for my mother’s 60th birthday and it was great. The location was ideal for all the activities we had planned during our stay. The house was very well cleaned and supplied everything you needed to enjoy a home away from your own. The layout was nice a supplied addition privacy and plenty of space for multiple people including kids! But the overall best part is the view, it’s private and we saw everything from whales and dolphins to surfers and boats, you could see the pier and board walk day or night as long as it was clear. This house is definitely a place our family would book again.

Great location for our family.

Great location, especially if you don't want to be in a busy spot. It is a quick drive into Capitola and close to Santa Cruz. The weather was warm and mostly sunny. We had 8 people. Ages 21-76, the majority in their 50's. We received clear check-in instructions and had no issues during the stay. The house was clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were nice, with comfortable beds. We didn't need them but there were extra heaters around. I have rented many vacation homes and never had this well stocked of a kitchen. My family cooks and we usually run into problems due to lacking kitchenware. We made big breakfasts and dinners and had everything we needed. There is also a coffee maker upstairs which was convenient. The patio sits above the rocks where the waves crash. A quick walk down the hill and you are on a sandy beach. There are also walking trails. We walked into town daily for coffee. A few blocks from the house is a path along the beach where you can watch surfers. We saw whales. I wish we could have taken our dogs because the outdoor lifestyle there is amazing. Note: The bedroom with the amazing view is upstairs in the apartment and doesn't have its own bathroom. This ended up being fine for us because we are used to traveling together. You have to go outside to the side patio, and into the garage to gain access to the stairwell to the apartment. Usually, I don't stay at the same place twice but I will definitely be back here.

My family and I had a perfect week in mid-September at this beach house. Roomy, clean, perfect location and well stocked with linens and paper products. Right on the water… if we had been closer to the ocean, we’d have been in a submarine! Highly recommend this beach house!

Family Vacation

Our stay at Pleasure Point was amazing! The waves crashing below the balcony was a bonus. The walk to the beach was just a few houses down from the driveway. The house was very accommodating and fully stocked. We loved it!

Great place for our Family!

We hosted our family at this Santa Cruz gem right after Christmas. The weather was very blustery with high tides and rough water but we had a great time in this cozy home with a fireplace in the living room, lots of fun family games, and a nice spacious and well-equipped kitchen for family meals. The location of this property was so good, especially with the deck right on the ocean. It's a short walk to a little beach, called Moran Lake Beach and to Pleasure Point in the opposite direction. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. We thought the separate units might make it difficult to feel "together" for our family, but it was nice to have the part of the family with little ones be able to get up early and not disturb those who needed to sleep in. Everything was fantastic!

Santa Cruz beach house

Nice house with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Everything was clean except that there was a decoration left from the previous guest. Note that while the listing said there is parking space for 5 cars, it is actually 3 for standard sized cars like an accord. The garage would probably only fit smart cars or something that are relatively short in length. Also, the shower upstairs did not work at all, but I suppose there are 2 downstairs that work. Would be nice to have them all working though.
