The property is located in the heart of the wild and romantic Middle Rhine Valley, which boasts the highest concentration of castles in the world and has been an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002.

Your enchanting vacation cottage, “Bergfalke,” is perched just a stone’s throw (200 meters) above Rheinfels Castle in Sankt Goar—once the largest fortress on the Rhine—in the immediate vicinity of the legendary Loreley (3 km) and is built on a spur of the Rheinfels (featuring the original castle vaults, including arrowslits).

Your accommodations are furnished in a country house style with great attention to detail and offers you a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley and the castle as soon as you wake up—right from your bedroom, whose front and side windows are fully glazed.

In the evening, you can enjoy the view of the starry sky from your bed, completely free of light pollution. Sleep in absolute peace… you won’t hear a thing—no cars and no disruptive noise from the railroad line, which unfortunately still runs directly through the Rhine Valley.

Our beautiful, quietly situated, approximately 2,000-square-meter, naturally unspoiled hillside property on two levels, located on the outskirts of town, offers many secluded spots for your rest and relaxation. From one of your favorite spots, enjoy the backdrop of the unique landscape amidst vineyards, forests, and castles—ideally with a glass of wine from one of Germany’s most renowned wine-growing regions. You’ll be particularly captivated by the golden light that spectacular sunsets cast into your garden every evening.

The Bergfalke, located in the hills above Sankt Goar (1 km), is the ideal starting point for a wide range of activities. Visit the nearby, world-famous Loreley. Or explore castles and the surrounding picturesque towns by boat, hike the incomparable Rheinsteig trail, test your climbing skills on the nearby via ferrata after a aerial cableway ride, cycle along the Rhine on well-maintained bike paths with your e-bike, or visit Rüdesheim with its Drosselgasse (35 km) and the state capital Mainz with its Imperial Cathedral and Gutenberg Museum (60 km).

Motorcyclists appreciate the winding country roads of the neighboring Hunsrück low mountain range; the legendary Wispertal route can be reached in 25 minutes by crossing the Rhine via ferry.

This wonderful little corner of the world, where we ourselves grew up, is especially close to our hearts and was lovingly and enthusiastically renovated for guest rentals in the summer of 2020.
