«The hotel and our room (No 5) were nicely styled in a modern silver-grey scheme. Our room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Bathroom was clean and modern too. However, 3x issues really: 1. the TV didn't work very well - aerial didn't function properly so signal & picture/sound kept cutting out; 2. bathroom door didn't shut fully; and lastly, 3. single-glazed windows meant noise from the road outside was loud. We were also awoken on 2 nights around 2am from loud & shrill girls' ...

«I loved this place! Selina hotel is a bright and luminous hotel near the tidal pool of Walpole Bay in Margate, only 15min walk from the old town. Our suite was stunning - big, luminous with sea view, cosy modern decor, comfortable. The large living room, terrace, bar and restaurant space make you want to spend a holiday there. «We had an issue on the first night with a noisy kitchen fan unit under our window. Not much sleep had! I went to see Reception first thing and the receptionist and Manager were terrific. They said that we could move , we just packed our things, went out and they moved our luggage to a new room. »

«The hotel is ideally located on the promenade, with the high street on the other side. Easy access to the beach and local transport. The room was big, with nice interior and comfortable beds. Huge bathroom with bathtub and toiletries provided. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well. «We stayed in a family room which in actual fact consisted of 2 bedrooms with a separating door and a large bathroom with a well-functioning shower with good water pressure. The room was basic but clean and towels were changed every day. Reception staff were all very helpful and made us feel welcome. However, the hotel itself has seen better days and is located in a rather unappealing part of Margate. Close proximity to beach and promenade.»

«There was no clear indication of how we accessed the property. Despite trying to communicate with the owner, there was no response. We had to just turn up and hope for the best. Luckily, after getting to the pod, the key was there and the stay was good. It has everything you need and is in a great location. »

«I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.»
