Island Time

  • Island Time on the beautiful Isle of Wight, is an excellent choice to book your next holiday or short break, able to comfortably accommodate up to four guests its nestled just off England’s south coast. The Island is surprisingly easy to reach and only a couple of hours from London, with regular ferries running from Southampton, Portsmouth and Lymington. Leave the car behind should you wish and travel here by rail and catamaran across the Solent, by booking a combined ticket from any Mainland train station to nearby Sandown.



    This modern first floor apartment is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the Island or sunning yourself on the beach, which is situated just in front of the building. Internally the open plan living area has gorgeous leather sofas and a Smart TV, where you can sit in comfort and relax and enjoy the sea views from the French doors or walk out onto the apartments wonderfully positioned balcony, where you can take in the excellent panoramic views, admire the passing ships on the English Channel, and, as the evening draws in, watch the colourful lights begin to glimmer around the curve of the bay. The dining area has seating for up to six people and is situated adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen area, perfect for entertaining and socialising. There are two spacious bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite shower-room whilst the second bedroom is set up as a twin room, served by the family bathroom.

    LOCATION:



    Glorious Sandown Bay is on your doorstep, and voted one of the Island’s best beaches, providing a long stretch of sand and great swimming waters. Along this stretch you can see the red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver cliff, and it is around here that fossil remains can be found. Sandham Garden’s play area is just across the road from the apartment with go karting sky nets and crazy golf and children’s play area. A short flat walk further along towards Yaverland, and you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary formerly the isle of Wight Zoo, famous for its big cats. The town of Sandown is brimming with attractions to entertain visitors, most of them right on the beach front itself, so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands. Should you enjoy a coastal walk, you can walk the length of Sandown Bay from Yaverland past the Pier along the seaside revetment all the way to the popular neighbouring town of Shanklin. If you are keen on an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water-sports, and you’ll certainly see people paddle boarding, surfing, catamaran and dingy sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, depending on the weather.

    Bathroom: bath with overhead rain shower and handheld attachment, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail



    OUTSIDE

    Large balcony accessed from living area, with exterior seating and view of the beach

    Allocated parking for 1 car at the rear property. In addition, some visitor spaces are available, on a first come first served basis.

    PLEASE NOTE: Guests can choose to either pay a non-refundable damage waiver of £35 or provide a pre-authorised security deposit of £150 before check-in.

    If the security deposit option is selected, no money will be taken unless damage is reported at the property within 7 days after departure



    There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.

    The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details.



    No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties.



    There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties.



    No pets are allowed at this property



    Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and cot linen as necessary.



    Please be advised access to this first-floor apartment is via stairs or lift



    Please be respectful of the property and the neighbours during your stay; leaving the property as you found it on your arrival.



    A breach of the above rules and guidelines could mean forfeiture of the Security Deposit.

Stay at Island Time

Lovely stay at Island Time. Apartment has great views across Sandown Bay with a good selection of restaurants/bars within short walking distance. Plenty to do and see on the Isle of Wight as well. There is some building work going on next door at the moment as we were advised when booking so just be aware if you think this may bother you (despite some initial concerns when we first arrived it didn't affect our stay).

Amazing View and Location on the Beach at Sandown

Excellent new property. It’s compact with 2 bedroom and only one other room ( lounge, diner, kitchen ) … great for a short break by the sea. Only niggle … having to walk all the way round as there is no access to the front of the property and significant works to the rear which with young children was a challenge!
