Ahoy! and welcome to Captains Quarters, based at Sandown Bay Holiday Centre. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Just a short ten-minute walk down the beach path to the sandy beaches of Yaverland. Great for fossil hunting or long walks. Enjoy the stunning views up towards Culver Down and out across the bay. The nearby town of Sandown with its shops, cafes and restaurants and bars are just a short drive away.
Recently refurbished this chalet is excellently presented and is perhaps one of the most modern and well equipped on the site. its well positioned on the site with a large grass area in front of the chalet and a view towards Culver Cliff which will help you relax and unwind, the property has been modernised to a high standard and comprises of a double bedroom, a twin room with bunk beds and a fresh-looking shower room. The open plan kitchen and living room offer a sociable space to cook, eat and relax there is a also a double sofa bed in the living area which can be utilised for an alternative sleeping arrangement. .
Sandown Holiday Bay Centre is a quiet place with lots of open spaces and grass. Ball games are permitted (But please be considerate) it’s a safe place for children to play with little traffic on site. The park is simply a great base for a holiday be it a family or group of friends. It’s location - pretty much on the beach - is hard to beat, and there are lots of play parks, pubs, restaurants, shops, and a swimming pool in Sandown with many just a few minutes’ walk away. Supermarkets will deliver to the site. If walking is your thing, you are right on a fantastic stretch of the coastal path. If you’re looking for all-inclusive holidaying with everything on site then it maybe not for you, but otherwise we don't believe you will be disappointed.

LOCATION:
Glorious Sandown Bay is on your doorstep, and voted one of the Island’s best beaches, providing a long stretch of sand and great swimming waters. Along this stretch you can see the red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver cliff, and it is around here that fossil remains can be found. Sandham Garden’s play area is just down the road from the chalet with go karting sky nets and crazy golf and children’s play area. A short flat walk further along towards Sandown and you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary formerly the isle of Wight Zoo, famous for its big cats. The town is brimming with attractions to entertain visitors, most of them right on the beach front itself, so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands. Should you enjoy a coastal walk, you can walk the length of Sandown Bay from Yaverland past the Pier along the seaside revetment all the way to the popular neighbouring town of Shanklin. If you are keen on an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with watersports, and you’ll certainly see people paddle boarding, surfing, catamaran and dingy sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, depending on the weather.
There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages on this beautiful sunny island. The Needles landmark attraction is a must see, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse, and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Why not pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and Gardens, or perhaps Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK.

Kitchen: electric hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, slimline dishwasher, kettle, toaster.
Dining area: dining table and four chairs
Lounge: corner sofa (can be made into a double sofa bed) Freeview TV, coffee tables,
Bedroom 1: double size bed, bedside cabinets and hanging space.
Bedroom 2: 2ft6 bunk beds, hanging rail.
Shower room: shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet, pedestal wash basin and shaving point.
OUTSIDE
The parking on the site is in a car park roughly 100 metres walk away from the property front door, available on a first come first served basis.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES / SERVICES:
PLEASE NOTE: a pre-authorised, refundable, security deposit of £150 will be required before arrival at the property. No money will be taken, unless any damage is reported at the property within 14 days of your departure.
This property can accept a maximum of 1 pet(s). The charge is £35 per pet, per week and we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding for your pet(s). Please ensure that you correctly add your pet(s) when making your booking, so this additional cost is included. If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately...
There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged without approval, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost. OR
