«The staff is very helpful, and the hotel in front of the beach. The service and food were good, and room very clean. The only thing was the ping pong table was damage. I highly recommedn this hotel.»

«Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. »

«Our stay at Barceló Playa Tambor was okay overall. We traveled with a group, so we joined the trip, but otherwise this would not have been my first choice. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an ocean-view room, which was a nice upgrade. However, the room smelled stuffy, as if the windows hadn't been opened in a long time. The food was average. «We booked all 3 pods for a 1 night stay on the way back to the airport after touring Costa Rica and all were excellent, privately located with an outdoor kitchen, toilet, shower, balcony and jacuzzi. Although quite remote, they do offer a takeaway delivery service from a local restaurant, and the town is approx 15 minutes away. Important to note that the transparent pod is down a steep windy narrow path with lots of uneven steps, which is quite difficult to walk up and down and a real challenge ...

«Wonderful place and lovely host. Their bioluminescence tour with Luis was amazing! Bed is comfortable. Be aware that there is no AC and it is 80 degrees at night. They have a great set up, fans pointed at the beds. Highly recommend this proprty!»

«The property is beautiful, Tomas is incredibly helpful and passionate, comfy bed, nice pools, yummy breakfast (bread/ jellies, coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruits, eggs) & close to beaches and Bioluminescent tour in secluded area so plenty of nature to enjoy. The entrance sidewalk is steep so wear hiking/tennis shoes not sandals/ heels, Tomas did offer to help us bring our bags up which was nice but just be aware it may not be accessible for everybody.
