I booked a second night after an airline provided a complimentary night due to flight cancelations. We asked to stay in the same room to avoid transitions midday. We left the room at noon and returned around 6:30PM to find the room had NOT been serviced. We went to the front desk and asked for the room to be cleaned. They said that they had issues with houskeeping today and didn't have housekeeping staff still in the hotel. She asked what I needed and that she'd have to check with the head of housekeeping to see if we could get towels and a change of sheets. They were supposed to call to confirm. I called back 30 minutes later and asked the status. The supervisor of the front desk said he wasn't sure but he'd check & let us know. I asked to change to a clean room and was told they don’t have any. Why am I paying for a dirty/unmade room?
