Very dated hotel, breakfast is good but other food poor quality like a Gordon fish stick isn’t fish tacos, if you don’t like Iguanas then you should pass, the beach is tiny and very rocky so was a little disappointed. There are fantastic local restaurants within a short walk out the gate by the casino and it’s a safe place to walk. The 3 pools are all connected so that was a little deceiving and there is only seats for 4 in the hot tub which was really dirty. The light in our bathroom was metal and rusted holes and the door lock was rusted out so they installed another locking mechanism. I got a nice tan and relaxed in the pool and ate lots of bacon cheeseburgers and sweet potato fries with pina coladas so it worked but I wouldn’t walk barefoot on that room carpet because it was so gross!

I up graded to a better room but they never changed the linens so three days at the beach we felt like we were sleeping on sand paper.Two out of four days the generator had to be fixed we were on 6th floor no electricity for 6 hours .There was no pool service for cocktails and food .Breakfast was only a 2hr window done by 9:30 so forget about getting a cup of coffee .For the daily rate of room it was not worth half,it really sucked.The staff did the best they could

Booked a king suite stay. They were unable to provide. Didn’t make any concessions or compensation for the inability to provide the correct room. Room was acceptable but old and not as clean as you would expect for the price and the name. Overall average stay. Not as expected for the money, location or name. Disappointed

Very old worn out hotel inklusive there rooms, view from room was not nice. We cancelled the booking costing us 80 USD and moved to another beach hotel in Condado, San Juan.

The room had damaged drawer handles on the dresser. Breakfast options were very limited and not warmed properly. Staff was very friendly. Housekeeping was great. Pool was well maintained but the bar was closed the entire time, possibly for construction. Parking was validated for free so that was good. Overall an average experience.

The room was ok. You can tell the building either has experienced hurricanes or just the salt from the ocean makes it hard to maintain. Peurto Rico standards...my guess is 4 star. American standards or at least Northern America 3 star. There was a tear in the carpet by where the fold out couch bed is. TVs functioned as normal. Partial ocean view was as expected. Check-in staff spoke English and Spanish. Most staff were friendly. A guy bartender was slightly rude when using drink tickets at the bar. Otherwise...female bartender was great. The hotel is serious about their breakfast times and many times start cleaning up 15 -30 mins prior to marked close time of buffet. At least a few times you'll hear from tardy or people cutting close, "Is this still open?". They run out of things...mainly bacon, mushrooms. If you want full selections of food, do not wait till 1 hr or shorter from breakfast close. The beach ⛱️ they do not take ownership of, but basically are the only real users. I'm sure it is to save on insurance & not have to maintain the beach area. Bring water shoes as it is rocky & etc. A few portions are decent. Pools were good temps, but a lot of stuff ends up in them. You see a lot of security around or employees talking. Just the world we live in, but if these people did more garbage pickup, cleaning & not trying to rush to close kitchen or be done with complimentary bar. Be better. Comp bar is 5:30-7 PM. Expect line. Got bedbugs 1.5 days

Would we stay again?? Ideally will search other options, but not so awful we would never use again. I think if you go to a festival and you get a motel 8 to save money as only need for a few days. That would be my approach.

Basically, the wet sand area is nice. Before is full of rocks and under waves is too.

We were always impressed by how clean the resort was and our hotel room. The staff was always so helpful and friendly. We especially loved the convenience of having food nearby and access to the beach.

Embassy Suite had a warm welcoming and friendly pleasant atmosphere. The King Suite was very spacious and clean upon arrival. A family friendly hotel, however they could use an upgrade on entertainment around the pool area. Play some music. Golf area is an extremely HIGHLIGHT of this location. Definitely will go again, hopefully upgrades will be applied.

We stayed four nights over a long weekend at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dorado del Mar Beach Resort and overall had a good experience. This property works well for a long weekend, though it may not be ideal for an entire vacation depending on what you are looking for. The rooms are dated but clean, housekeeping was responsive, and the beds were comfortable. The pool was a highlight. It is large, well maintained, and we always found available chairs. It is great for all ages, from babies to adults, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. They really should add a permanent pool bar, as the pool area is a major draw. Breakfast was included and solid, with eggs, potatoes, pancakes, sausage, and a made to order egg station. The gift shop also serves as a coffee shop, which I used daily, and they offer some alcoholic drinks as well. The pool bar and restaurant were under construction during our stay, but there was a temporary setup for drinks and food. The food was good, typical bar fare. We did not eat dinner on property. The only downside was some construction noise, though I understand off season is the best time for renovations. The resort is a bit far from San Juan and Old San Juan. Without a car, Uber rides are about $50 each way. Staff was consistently friendly and attentive. I have high service expectations and never felt poorly treated. Based on our stay, the negative Google reviews did not reflect our experience. Overall, it was a pleasant extended weekend stay.

The property was beautiful with activities and restraurants in walking distance. The staff was excellent and very helpful with getting you anything you need. The rooms were spacious and clean but they were dated. They didn't match the property at all. If you will not be spending alot of time in the room, then this may be prefect for you. There was access to the beach but the beach area was disappointing. I would stay here again just for the convenience of not needed a vehicle and the beautiful views the property offered.

I absolutely love my stay at the Embassy suites in El Dorado. The staff was kind my room was always clean and updated with clean towels and linen. The restaurants and the outdoor outdoors were clean and nice. It’s an absolutely beautiful resort. I would definitely go back.

The most negative aspects of this hotel is the rooms are quite dated. The second thing is the added daily cost, $35 resort fee, $15-25 day rate for parking. The restaurant inside the hotel the food is only OK at best. Now for the positives, Breathtaking views of the ocean, the three tier pool with a hot plus a separate kiddy pool. Having the poolside bar is really amazing. The staff all over the entire resort are beyond accommodating. The complimentary breakfast is awesome; there is something for everyone. While we were there, they had a daily happy hour with 2 free drinks which was nice. There are a couple really great restaurants outside of the hotel, but on the resort grounds. There is also Bowling, Pool Tables, Casino and more on the grounds all are about a two-minute walk. The staff all over the resort are beyond accommodating.
