No temperature control, I almost froze to death
Kind of a crappy room. No temperature control, so I froze all night. Useless furniture. Uncomfortable chair. Creepy pillows. Only one electrical outlet. Staff was friendly, but probably won't stay again.

I like old architectural style and this place has it. No my room didn’t have a restroom in it or shower but the ones that they had in the hallways were always very clean. I really enjoy this place and for the price I got what I needed my second time staying here I will be back.

The Perramont Hotel is in an excellent location in terms of resource/transportation accessibility and overall safety. Just a few minutes walk away from Church street station, safeway grocery store, walgreens across the street, etc. Multiple dining and coffee options nearby as well. The bathroom and shower were shared just down the hall from my room, and no microwave/fridge in the hotel room as expected, although the room included it’s own sink. The room was very clean as well. In terms of safety and comfort, I would only book this hotel again if I were staying in the city for a couple of days, but not for a longer term stay.

All due respect with people that works at the reception because they are very gentle and nice. But the place is horrible. I’m gonna say exactly the DETAILS because I didn’t saw anything like that in here: I went around middle october, it was kinda hot, but in the room was very very hot. I left the window open otherwise is an oven there, but there is a barber place right on the side that was very loud, which didn’t help. There is a little tv in the room and some towels, a sink and a queen bed. The bad was horrible to sleep, I had to get a massage when I got back because I couldn’t move my back and neck. The restroom and shower are separated and is in the hallway, shared with all other rooms. The building smells like pee when you walk in, the room and the towels didn’t smell good either. The minute I walked in I tried to canceled and get a least a minimum refund and go to another place, but they have a no refund policy, I guess we know why. Anyway, girls bring your own stuff, shampoo is terrible and smell bad, and bring hair dryer they don’t have it.

Staff was average. Not too friendly but not rude. Ok place if you just need a bed for the night. Walls are paper thin and i had a guy right next to me(hotel wasn’t full) that clapped his hands and banged on things, was in and out to use the shared bathroom and slammed the door every time… all night long. Keep it mind if it’s hot your only choice is to open the window (which have no screens) and you hear everything. Probably not a good place if your goal is to sleep.

Honestly the shared bathroom was not an issue like I thought it would be. The location was convenient and walking distance to many cafés and public transportation. We did have several bug bites after the second night, but we are unsure if it was mosquitoes or spider bites. Definitely could be a bit cleaner in the sense of having sheets that one could tell are visibly clean - patterned sheets are not the best for that, and perhaps having a bench in the shower for one to put their clothes on, but other than that, would stay here again.

A great find...
I had a better than expected stay here. it was in a good location, and within walking distance to downtown and my conference location. The gentleman at the front desk was really helpful and kind. My room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom outside and toilet was equally very clean. I would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and well cared for. The carpet looked new and the walls freshly painted. Nice neighborhood and easy to get around. The manager was very kind with me. I recommend for a budget traveler it had everything I needed

The price was cheap but you definitely get what you pay for with this one. Solid wifi (after restarting router) and decent quality bed, but they didn't run the heat at night so I was really cold. Shows worked okay. I would definitely not take my GF here with me, went on my own, and I don't think I'd go here again. Staff was niceand helpful though

Located right on Market St and a stone's throw from the Castro. Close to MUNI, shops and restaurants. Very chill hotel which met all my needs as an independent solo traveler.

Paint was new, bed wzs clean, window spring was broken (we had to use the trzshbin to keep it open), shower head was broken (which makes the tube no more than a giant bidet), shower window was broken open. Its an hostel, not a hotel. No secured nor any parking lot around. Car got broken into, window smashed.

Where cockroaches vacation
Great location, nice facilities and lovely staff but unfortunately, the huge downside was that it was crawling with cockroaches, of all sizes. Had to sleep with the lights on to stop them coming out and one morning woke up with one crawling on my arm. That's the only reason I would never stay here again.

I reserved and paid for this room for my young adult stepdaughter for 3 nights. The manager told her he would not give her the room because I was not there. He told her “you can see where the door is,” forcing her to leave, when she had nowhere else to stay in San Francisco at night. I called to discuss it with him and Sam was equally as rude to me. He was unwilling to help us in the situation. And he was unwilling to refund any of the three nights.

Hello, we apologize for the incident with your stay, unfortunately hotel policy is that the guest who reserved the room and credit card be present when checking in, the room can not be booked for 3rd party guests. Also the unknown guest who came to the hotel was using expletives not only at the front desk agent but also the manager on the phone and that is when the guest was asked to leave and was not told "you can see where the front door is." Sam was unable to help as he did not have the authority to make any exceptions and the general manager was on vacation and could not be reached, which he had explained to you. Once again we apologize for the situation but the hotel has policies in place for everyone's safety and well being.

Disastrous stay that I cut short and forced the issue of a refund despite severe inconveniences. Between Expedia's terrible customer service and serious security and safety risks posed by this property's staff, this is one of the worst "hotel" stays I've ever experienced (btw, it's a hostel not a 2-star hotel -- Expedia lies!). I'm filing an official complaint against Expedia for contracting with this awful, unsafe property.

No frills, in Castro
Rooms are updated but still basic for a hostel. One of the better hostel accommodations, single private room. Bathroom was basic in the hallway and shower is in a seperate room. Would choose this any day of the week over a number of dirt cheap hotels in SoMa.

Cute spot in the heart of the Castro
Really cute old building. For how old it is, it is well kept with clean rooms and bathrooms. I just needed to stay one night and it felt like I was in old San Fransisco.

Muy limpio y con gran ubicación
Los baños y habitaciones están súper limpias. En noches frías prenden la calefacción, lo cual es muy cómodo. La ubicación es muy buena, con acceso a varias rutas de transporte. En los pasillos podría sentir que es un hotel viejo, pero es una gran opción para quedarse en San Francisco.

It was horrible there is no AC the windows were open wen got to room and you have to leave them open because they’re in ac it’s overpriced for a crappyplace
