Property was nice, but most of the staff was rude. They give off a very “you’re SOL” type of attitude. The front desk staff was not helpful with parking and questions about the hotel or room. Bill, the concierge is the only reason I’m not giving one star. He was so nice and helpful about tourist attractions.

Its pretty much dead center of the City life in SF. We walked back from the club after a day if bar hopping through the City. Bathrooms are really clean so thats a good sign in my opinion.

Great employees and valet. Everyone was super positive and super nice. The room AC seemed to not be effective. It was warm all night . Beds were incredibly comfy and room was cozy. Will stay again.

The hotel was excellent, very comfortable, slept like a baby. The streets nearby were filthy, several sketchy characters walking around, but i had no issues

I was worried about the neighborhood based on other reviews, but it was fine. I would avoid 6th street as others have suggested, but walking toward the convention center seemed fine. Staff was lovely. Room was clean and quiet enough.We never heard other guests, just a firetruck or two.

Front staff is always helpful. We’ve stayed multiple times for Giants games and concerts, have always had a great experience here. Great local for transportation or even walking

Excellent hotel, staff, location!! The 3 star is for wrong advertisement while booking. The room said city view, but eventually we had to upgrade by paying additional amount and the parking is exorbitant !!! Only valet $74 per night. You may as well pay for a hotel room nearby. Just be aware of this.

This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at but not the most expensive so it’s still a good value. Room service breakfast was very classy and well presented. The food at Bistro 888 was very good as well. The strip loin steak was excellent and the Yukon gold purée was the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. My wife enjoyed the cheese plate. The hotel has almost anything that you need but venturing out to Walgreen’s or Target for snacks is pretty scary. I recommend taking an Uber or taxi and not walking anywhere if you can avoid it. The pool and hot tub were clean, well equipped and not crowded. The lady at the gift shop was very sweet and helpful but the hours weren’t very regular. Front desk staff were all very courteous and helpful as well. A taxi to the hotel from the airport was not cheap at over $60 but an Uber would be about half that amount. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and would love to return on another trip.

I’d give this hotel a 3.9 out of 5. Hotel, bar, and amenities are absolutely to die for, BUT the area around the hotel is not safe. Drive one block in the wrong direction and you will arrive in an area teaming with dirty streets and drug addicts. Also, parking is valet only, and if you don’t want to do the valet the parking garage is near the area that I described above. The room that we stayed in had ‘stains’ on the chair, and the toilet had slight particles that can only be described as ‘dirt.’ Overall, if you are planning to stay here, everything you need will be at the hotel and in the hotel without having to leave and go out to eat or site see. But if you are a traveler and like to roam the city and the food scene, then this might not be your cup of tea. It is a preference for everybody, so go in with a open heart!
