Located in the beautiful coastal destination of Runswick Bay, Puffins Rest is a luxury lodge with style in abundance. Sleeping up to five guests across two bedrooms, the property has a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area, two bathrooms and a private terrace with outdoor seating. Whether you’re looking for fun-filled days at the beach, long coastal walks or simply somewhere to relax with your loved ones, you’ll be perfectly placed at Puffins Rest to explore the North Yorkshire coast.

The Space:
Puffins Rest has a bright and cosy living area with two comfy sofas and a large window flooding the room with light. Fully equipped for self-catering staycations, the kitchen diner has everything you could need to prepare and enjoy meals together, and there is even cutlery and dishes for children available. You’ll also find a cosy log burner in the space.

Outside you’ll find an enclosed, south facing patio area. There is wrap around secure decking with a south east and west facing terrace allowing daylong sunshine, and a largely grassed garden to the west side of the lodge. You'll be able to catch the sun all day long when outside at Puffin's Rest.

The main bedroom at Puffins Rest features a king size bed, whilst the second bedroom boasts a single bed, as well as a bunk with two singles. All beds are made using premium bedding to ensure you have the best sleep possible.

Modern and stylish, the family bathroom has a deep freestanding bathtub with a handheld shower hose, as well as a WC and wash basin. The king bedroom has its own ensuite with a shower, WC and basin. Towel rails are also available in both bathrooms.

The lodge is beautifully furnished so a luxurious and comfortable stay is guaranteed.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full lodge. The keys to the lodge are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Puffins Rest is set across one level with four small steps leading up to the lodge. There is private on site parking for two vehicles.

This is a non smoking lodge, pets are not permitted and it is not available for stag or hen parties.

The Neighborhood:
Runswick Bay is a beautiful spot on the North Yorkshire coast. Boasting a sweeping bay with a gorgeous sandy beach, The Times and Sunday Times Travel have recognised Runswick Bay within Britain's top 50 beaches. The whole family will enjoy a day at the beach which is great for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, sailing, fossil hunting and rock pooling.

With narrow lanes and red roofed cottages, it’s easy to fall for Runswick Bay’s charm. You’ll be well located at Puffins Rest to visit the local pubs, cafes and shops.

By staying in Runswick Bay, you’ll be ideally placed to explore the rest of the coast and the areas beautiful beaches including Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes, Sandsend and Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

There is direct access to the Cleveland Way from the site so you’ll be able to explore the area, including the North Yorks National Park and Moors or the North Yorkshire Moors Railway where you can enjoy a historic steam locomotive trip through North York Moors countryside and villages.

Getting Around:
The closest train station to Puffins Rest is a 20-minute drive away in Whitby so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

You can travel via bus easily from Runswick Bay. The X4 runs every 30 minutes which allows you to visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby.
