Shalimar is an exceptional detached property, perfectly designed and furnished for a one or two family holiday with fantastic communal space. It is located within the seaside town of Salcombe, within walking distance to the town centre. The child and pet friendly house is furnished with comfort and fun in mind. Its main room benefits from floor to ceiling, 4 paned concertino doors, providing access to a large balcony with superb views to Kingsbridge and, on a clear day Dartmoor. It is modern presented, with a well equipped kitchen for real cooking afficinados, and it is located near the Spar for last minute ingredients or fresh bread in the morning. There is also a garden and ample parking for two - three cars. It has everything you need for small ones, including a dedicated play room with an activity table, junior bedand cot. There is table football and a digital TV for the bigger kids. The house is recently refurbished throughout to a high standard with 5 bedrooms and multiple bathrooms, including 3 en-suite. This house is ideally furnished for two families, with a mix of super king, king, single and bunk beds, sleeping upto 6 adults and 11 in total. Additionally there is a junior bed and a pop-up cot. It can also work well for a group of friends.

Thank you for the most wonderful stay, the house was amazing. The teenage girls would have loved a full length mirror…. Apart from that it was the best house we’ve stayed in at Salcombe.
Two families joined together for a great stay. A perfect property to enjoy Salcombe and the surrounding area. Just add a comment that the parking is on the tricky side.
Shalimar was perfect, just 10 minutes from the centre of beautiful Salcombe, however, I would not recommend for anyone with disabilities due to the steep hills! The house was clean and comfortable with an abundance of facilities, we would definitely stay again and fully recommend.
Loads of space, plenty of storage and bathrooms for everyone. Quality towels and bedding.
We booked it so that we had parking for our dinghy, we didn't take it down the narrow track to the parking but pulled it off the pavement on to the hard standing at the front of the house.
The location in the small seaside town, the property deco and facilities were very good. A local SPAR is just across the road for any urgent needs. Lots of beaches & activities to explore very nearby. We would rate this property 5* with everything required for a super holiday. It’s large kitchen was fully facilitated & has a great hangout space with a terrace balcony & fold open doors to an outstanding view. The garden was neat with furniture & BBQ. There was ample room for ten to eleven guests. Elliot, the Manager was very accommodating answering our queries promptly and the welcome gifts of fudge, wine & coffee were very much appreciated. Would have no hesitation in returning nor in recommending to friends & family.
We were looking for a place in Salcombe that could handle three diverse groups of family members reuniting for the first time in 2.5 years; our family of four from Canada (two adults and two teens), two seniors from Cambridge and two adults and an 18 month old from London. Five bedrooms separated by living space - got it! Five bathrooms - ironically, seniors and teens take the same amount of time to get ready - got it! Games/toddler room with foosball and toys to entertain the kids - got it! Big kitchen and open eating space with room for all - got it! Gorgeous view with accordion doors to enjoy the sunset and cool the house down - got it! As long as you’ve got the ability to walk back up the hilly streets or stairs to return from town the location can’t be beat for views, being away from the tourist hubbub and close to a Spar for essentials. Clean, well stocked and built for family use it was a great rental for our reunion..
We enjoyed staying in Shalimar which had excellent views from the modern spacious living area The children enjoyed the play room. The walk into town was much closer than we expected and the parking for three cars proved invaluable.
We had a lovely week with Shalimar as our base. The house was ideal, having plenty of room for us all. Very well equipped with everything we required. The view from the rear balcony was fantastic, we spent our evenings watching the sunset. We wouldn't hesitate recommending Shalimar for a wonderful family holiday. Beautiful Modern and Excellently Equipped Property
Highly impressed with our stay in Shalimar. It has stunning views from the balcony extending out of the huge dining/living space. Everything was presented spotlessly and there was virtually nothing that you could ask for - there was even an Apple TV receiver and table football table. The accommodation was perfect with multiple bathrooms to cater for the multiple bedrooms, all tastefully decorated in a fresh modern styles. The kitchen couldn't have been better for large parties, with two sinks and two fridges. Thoroughly recommended for any large family group wanting to visit the very appealing town of Salcombe.
We had a great week at Shalimar. The house was really lovely with the most incredible views. There was everything we could possibly need available. The kitchen was superbly equipped. A great location about 10 mins walk in to ‘town’ with a great selection of restaurants nearby.
Lots of great beaches to visit. A great base for spending time in beautiful Salcombe.
The property manager was super helpful and couldn’t do enough to help.
The house was lovely; the open plan kitchen perfect for all of us. It was great to have coffee, tea, oil, hot chocolate in the cupboards & the welcome gifts. The walk from Salcombe was a bit fierce but did the gluts the world of good.

We’ve had a fab week in Salcombe staying at Shalinar. The property was perfect for us. We were a mix of teens, adults and furry friends and we all had a great time. Shalinar is central for Salcombe with a hilly walk down and up and also gray for North Sands beach too which is a lovely walk down via a shady lane (check your route on Google Maps). Would highly recommend Shalinar to others looking for a break in beautiful Salcombe
