- LIVING AREA -

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is the heart of the home. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking for a crowd - ceramic cooktop, electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge, microwave, Ninja air fryer and plenty of bench space, with a breakfast bar and a round oak table seating four. Large picture windows flood the space with light and frame the Rotorua hills. The living room has a big smart TV, a heat pump for year-round comfort, and a study nook with a desk for anyone working remotely.



- GAMES ROOM -

The fully insulated games room is a real standout - a dartboard, a cornhole/beanbag toss set and extra beds for the kids or overflow, perfect for a rainy Rotorua evening. The laundry lives in here too, with a top-loader washing machine and dryer for guests to use throughout the stay.



- OUTDOOR AREA -

A paved courtyard offers a sheltered spot for outdoor dining and relaxing, with outdoor lounge furniture set up and ready alongside the BBQ, plus a lawned garden.



- PARKING -

Off-street parking in the driveway.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive use of the whole property - the main house, the fully insulated games room, the courtyard, the lawned garden and off-street parking. The laundry in the games room is yours to use throughout your stay. Make yourselves at home.



The Neighborhood:

Base Camp sits in a relaxed, genuine Rotorua neighbourhood on the Matipo Heights side of the city, an easy base for exploring the region. Te Puia's geysers and geothermal park are just five minutes away, with the Whakarewarewa Redwoods Forest mountain-biking and walking trails, Skyline's gondola and luge, Canopy Tours and Zorb all a short drive on. The city centre's restaurants, cafes and the Eat Streat precinct are around ten minutes away, along with the lakefront and the Te Ara Ahi thermal cycle route.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended to make the most of Rotorua's spread-out attractions, and there's off-street parking in the driveway. The city centre and Eat Streat are about 10 minutes by car, Te Puia just 5 minutes, the Redwoods and the northern attractions around 12 minutes, and Rotorua Airport 15 minutes. The extensive Rotorua Trails cycle network runs close to the neighbourhood for those on two wheels.



Other Things to Note:

WIFI runs at around 250 Mbps. The laundry (top-loader washing machine and dryer) is located in the games room and is available throughout your stay. The games room and third bedroom share king single beds with pull-out trundlers - great for kids or an extra guest.
