«Rooms are on 2 different levels so very quiet. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, with tea & coffee etc and very welcome biscuits. No need to bring shower products as they are all provided. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of items (ordered the night before). The fruit salad was fab & I can highly recommend the omelette! My husband had the full English, which he really enjoyed. Offered more tea/coffee & toast. The hosts Jane & Mark were lovely and very helpful regarding the local area ...

«Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, we had a great choice of breakfasts, the full English was a bit too big for me, I couldn't finish it, I should have gone for the small English. Plenty of parking. I would recommend booking a table for dinner as soon as possible, this venue is very popular with the locals. We would definitely stay at the Recruiting Sergeant again.»

«Great location, really nice, helpful staff and a lovely room. Very clean and comfy bed. Great lounge space downstairs too Happy to recommend this hotel»

«Food was fairly decent, staff were all excellent. Nice clean room, lovely comfortable bed. Big clean bathroom. However .....we couldn't get any of the radiators to work. When its single digits centigrade outside its time to fire up the central heating !! The room and bathroom was very cold, which put a real downer on our stay.»

«Lovely and friendly, directly on the beach a perfect get away»

«Very good accommodation. Great location, rooms were good and staff helpful. Breakfast came in a hamper in your room, very nice touch, plenty of it. Would definitely go back»

«Everything was spot on. Thank you»

«Beautiful place to stay, very comfortable and inviting 😊😊 wish we could have stayed longer »

«Stylish, luxurious, discrete, and an absolute joy to stay in! loved The Dial House.»

«What stood out immediately was the cheerful and helpful staff. Well done to all - from the guy who checked us in to the one who made breakfast for us. Very comfortable room with good facilities We only stayed for one Sunday night so managed to get a parking space but I doubt that would happen again during the week or in high season. Double yellow lines everywhere so would need to go to a parking lot. Not sure how much that was.»

«Outside is nice, but the hotel is outdated. No one cleans your room. Restaurant is not able to give you a table ad-hoc. Gym/pool is full of non guests crowding everything in the morning. Also gym opens way too late and not according to official information etc. Generally stay away.»

«The location was great for our needs. Very clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. Very helpful. Great gym. Some of the golfers were rather noisy late into the evening and early hours of the morning but overall a very pleasant stay»
