There are a few things that are really nice with the hotel, and some features that are not. The good:
- The location of the hotel is excellent, it’s a 4 minute walk to the train station which grants access to fast travel to the airport as well as other parts of Italy.
- Quiet rooms
- Friendly staff at all times
- Seemingly clean to the naked eye
- Nice got shower and bathtub in one
Not so good:
- No ac in the winter months - we had a solid 26 degrees Celsius at all times in the room. It was 20 degrees outside and the window would barely open. It was like sleeping in an oven. No ac means bad air quality as well. When calling the reception they offered to turn off the heating that was on at all times - we did this but nothing changed. Same temperature, same bad air quality.
- Terrible breakfast. Everything is stale and old. The bacon is tasteless and plastic feeling, warm dishes are luke warm, cheeses and hams are dry. Bread is semi- fresh.
- Our sink was clogged upon arrival - maintenance showed up quickly, but spent half an hour trying to fix the issue.
- The rooms are very dated and there’s a lot of wear on everything. Damage doors, missing pieces of the walls and flooring, deep scratches, barely functional bathroom.
- Heavy use of perfume inside the room upon arrival - the “old lady”, headache kind of perfume
All in all - wouldn’t recommend this place. I’m happy we were out sightseeing all day so we didn’t have to spend a lot of time in the hotel room.
