The ruins of Ostia Antica are not as famous as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum but they are no less glorious. You will find the abandoned city along the Tiber to have incredibly preserved mosaic floors, streets and remnants of homes and theatres. A map is a must if you opt to go on your own. #History

«Walkable to many tourist spots with a cafe 1 meter from the front door. The dome ceiling in one of the bedrooms was reminiscent of Ancient Rome, unfortunately so was the door going into it (under 6-foot clearance and I’m over 6’ tall!) 😂 This is an apartment with no staff on-hand, but they are immediately available via WhatsApp. Only inconvenience was storing luggage 20 minutes away without a courtesy vehicle to bring it. »

«The check in process was easy but had some trouble figuring out the electric lock. Also a little confusing that there is a key for the apartment door but you cannot use the key with the electronic lock in place. The place was up several flights of stairs. There is a small elevator that held 2-3 people. The apartment was clean and the a/c worked well. It was the perfect location with Spanish steps and trevi fountain nearby and many other sights just a short walk. We would definitely stay here ...

"Veldig enkelt fra flyplassen til hotellet. Bare vent på hotels shuttle få minutter og var på hotellet 15 minutter. "

"The hotel has a quiet location a bit up in the city. The hotel is old fashioned, but it is clean. The receptionist is very helpfull. Our family stayed in a family room at the top floor. It was more like an apartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen area with sink, small refrigerator, microwave oven and a washing machine. The washing machine was really good to have during the warm summer to wash the clothes. Also there is a shared roof terrace with a drying rack. Then to the cons. The most negative thing was the poor aircondition. There are ACs in both bedrooms and in the kitchen, but even when they are set to the minimum temperarure we were sweating all the time inside the room. Also outside of course since it was 35 degrees outside in the summer. So it was hard to sleep because of the heat. The breakfast was very limited. Some cakes, cereal or bread with one type of cheese or meat. The scrambled eggs and bacon were better than usual in hotels. But the alternatives were few, so a bit boring for more than one night."
