It's ok but noisy. Privilege rooms are well-equipped and comfortable. The doors to the rooms slam shut, which doesn't seem to be the case at more modern hotels. Would stay again but wouldn't be first choice and much more a last resort.

Generally good value. It was not made clear at booking that breakfast was not included. This requires improvement. I am unsure if this is Expedia or the hotel but both need to address this. The chair in my room, while comfortable was rather worn and needs repair or replacement. Good attentive and helpful staff.

Was too noisy , loud music from hotel events room , couldn’t sleep , made complaint to reception but unfortunately did nothing about it , also had no soap no shampoo in my room also been reported to reception and didn’t show up

Nice stay but could be better
Stayed here a number of times and feel the hotel is declining each time we visit. Please check before booking if they have an events on as it can be very noisy at night. We were lucky our room was nearer the spa so it didn't effect us much. The rooms are a little dates and our shower was broken. We hadn't booked breakfast as we thought this was expensive so we opted for the bar menu, when we went to order in the morning we was told we couldn't have anything as we haven't bought the full breakfast! Even though if we order on room service we could have order just a sausage roll for £4.50. The spa area is lovely and relaxing. The areas were kept clean and there's lots of facilities to try in the thermal suite.

Our worst local stay in UK.
The hotel would be better as a care home for elderly. Not children friendly as there many restricted activities for kids. The staff attitude was below bad. They don’t recognise guests and they are rude. Still yet to receive pre authorised £100 2 weeks after check out. Several calls and emails on this but staff appear clueless. I need to mention that they keep debiting our card account after check out without our consent. The receptionist who checked us in and took our card for pre approval did not remember the refund on check out until we asked. The facility is archaic and poor . Not a pleasant experience. The breakfast is 5/10

Got woken up at 4:30am by a neighbouring room on our corridor having a domestic, screaming, shouting, banging, throwing glass bottles and slamming doors. Rang reception to report and no answer. Went on for at least an hour before the police turned up and carried on for another hour after that. Couldn’t get back to sleep so checked out at 7:30am, police still there. No apology or customer service from the staff. No one at reception when we handed the key in. Won’t be staying again. Awful nights sleep

Stayed 2 nights over weekend. Not told until after paying that they host busy events on weekends with loud live music until 1am. Friday night was unpleasant but on Saturday night there were two parties meaning the whole hotel was heaving with rowdy drunk and noisy people. The music and DJ on mic was unbearable in the hotel room, despite the tv on loud. One of us is autistic and suffering from burn out. We messaged ahead for a quiet room but we’re still above one of the event rooms. Anywhere looking at the floor plans, these events consume the whole hotel. We paid nearly £300 for a quiet spa chilled weekend to recharge and were unable to relax or sleep, returning shattered. When live events are on, the hotel also stops serving food between 7-9pm meaning we had to go out both nights. There is a notice on the reception desk telling you these details and asking not to complain to management as no refunds or complaints will be heard by them on this basis. Fair had we been told before booking, but would not have booked had we known! Breakfast superb, spa/gym/pool very lovely. Hotel generally needs a good update and some care globally.

Had a confirmed tein room. On arrival the room only had one bed. Was offered a family room that wasn't made up nad was offered bedding for us to make it up ourselves. Not acceptable in my opinion.

Room was lovely decorated, very clean, bed very comfortable. Lovely space. Lovely bathroom and heating worked well. Great products/amenities provided in rooms The hotel communal areas however were freezing. Had to sit in bar area on both nights with heavy jacket. Waited for some time before staff appeared at bar to be able to order food and drinks. Waited so long for ketchup for meal that meal had to be reheated as had gone cold Would have liked more choice at breakfast in regards cold meat, cheeses etc as not everyone likes cooked/fried breakfasts All Staff were very pleasant and helpfull.

I was staying there on 9 Sept, which was during heat wave in England. I planned this stay because we want to have a good sleep as the room has air conditioning. On the night of 9 Sept, we found the air conditioner was not working. Staff from reception and the duty manager came to check, but failed to fix it. They said the hotel is full and cannot change for another room. As that time was 11 pm, it was too late to go home and I could only stay in such a hot room. They said they could refund for my stay, and I have requested a fan for some ventilation. They could only give me a 9 inch fan, for a three member family in a hotel room. The other morning we went to check out, the reception staff has changed. She said she cannot arrange the refund, and will need to ask for permission from manager and return to me. While she finally returned to me that they have provided an “alternative”, so cannot refund for my stay. My family and myself were angry. Is the 9 inch fan a alternative? And that was me in asking a fan, not even the staff suggested on that night. I feel too bad in my stay.
