'My senses were bewildered from the first moment I set eyes on the fortress. It is indeed a magnificent sight (I couldn't get enough of); still, I was dying to get to its top, so I pushed my limits and climbed the steep ridge in no time. The lush surroundings flooded my soul and caressing the enduring walls actually transported me seven centuries back. And I bet that even then, the churn inside and outside of the fortress walls was tamed by the outstanding peacefulness of the nature.'
Pine trees on rocky slopes seen on a foggy morning near Rimetea, in Apuseni Mountains. Go for the diverse and sometimes spectacular geology (mostly old metamorphic rocks) and stay for the food. www.doruoprisan.com

The rooms was extremely hot. Window towards a busy street made it impossible to sleep with the window open. Checking in was not good, I booked three rooms but only got two. The last person needed to stay the first night in a different hotel.
