«This was better than I expected. I would love to come and stay for a week and just relax. It is on a quiet farm the back of the property in the woods right on a stream and with the fall colors having all the windows on the ceiling and around the room were amazing. The bathroom you do have to go outside to use what it’s attached to the building and it has a little heater so it was not a big deal. It was magical to say the least. I would stay here again and highly recommend recommended to others. »

«Weather was VERY cold during our stay! But the gas log heater inside the dome greeted us warmly and did a wonderful job of keeping us comfortable inside. We cooked our meals outside on the blacktop grill and ate on the deck admiring the creek and woods surrounding us. With below freezing highs and lows in the low teens, for a last minute get out of the city dose of nature it was a lazy relaxing trip, but would love to experience again in slightly warmer temps. «Clean, cute, comfortable cottage! Our family including our dog enjoyed our relaxing stay - movies by the fire, hot baths, crafting at the kitchen table, and cooking good food. We had fun in the area - hiking state parks (Mount Jefferson and Rendezvous), National Park System Brinegar Cabin, Blue Ridge Parkway, Emerald Hollow Mine, Love Valley (horse only town) Christmas parade/ tree lighting, and a mead flight at Stardust Cellars (kid and dog friendly). "We stayed one night as we where driving through Blowing Rock. The hotel is charming and private, yet within walking distance to the centre of Blowing Rock. The rooms felt very clean and spacious. The included breakfast was alright - nothing special but atleast theres some warm options to choose from. Friendly staff as well. The negatives: the gap around the room door ment that voices/sounds in the hallway easily made its way into the room. This was not really an issue for us as we stayed here in a time of the year with less travellers, but i guess this could be troublesome in the high season. Furthermore the pool was closed (they had an option at a neighbouring hotel instead) and there was a bit of mold on one of the types of bread they served for breakfast. All in all the negatives did not bother us too much. This was among the cheapest hotels in Blowing Rock at the time i booked, and I would certainly stay here again. "
