«I booked this hotel for my birthday, wanting to be near the ocean, and it totally delivered! We stayed in the beautiful loft room, and the Dyson fan kept it nice and cool. Loved the bathroom and its size. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, but the pub/restaurant staff, not so much. We really wished we could've stayed longer (but the hotel was fully booked, of course). Having the beach so close was just perfect. I would definitely revisit Botany Bay Hotel.»

«From arrival to checkout , the staff were great The standard rom we booked was large, light and comfortable We dined in the restaurant during our stay , we would highly recommend the quality of the meal Breakfast was adequate, reasonable selection but the buffet style for hot food was not to our liking. «The hotel is ideally located on the promenade, with the high street on the other side. Easy access to the beach and local transport. The room was big, with nice interior and comfortable beds. Huge bathroom with bathtub and toiletries provided. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well. The breakfast was nice, with a menu with cooked food to choose from and a small selection of cereals, juice, croissants and fresh fruit.»

«We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.»

«The shared shower was cramped, dark, and you easily bang your head. Not only that you get a bang on the door by management stating checkouts 10am even though I was there 2 nights. Everytime you left the room you're interrogated by management wanting to know your every move. If you want a peaceful stay this isn't it. Needless to say I didn't stay the 2nd night found somewhere else.»

«Paul was super welcoming and accommodating and had some lovely suggestions for things to do in Margate. The Beetroot is in great location and there are plenty of places to get a drink, food or coffee less than 5 minutes away. The room itself was lovely and the bed was super comfy. «Probably the nicest room we have stayed in despite spending 2 or 3 times more per night on other trips. Lovely spacious room in period property with exposed beams, brickwork and proper 4 poster bed. The quality of the renovation, and in particular the ornate marble/granite work in the bathroom, was exceptional. Add in a warm freindly welcome and it rates in the top handful of all time great stays.»
