«The 2 bedroom room was amazing for size. The view over mountains was amazing. Rubbish found under the bed. Dusty window seals. Outdoor table and chairs had cob webs. They didn’t leave remote controls for the aircons. So couldn’t adjust. Had to call after hours. Mac was amazing and came out. But the aircons turned off after a few hours. Bedrooms was freezing. Folded up Tables and a big white board was left in the main area which wasn’t ideal with a little one.»

«My girlfriend and I, 19 years old from Norway in Australia on a working holiday, had to evacuate from Cairns during cyclone Jasper, and ended up in Thornton, and at this motel. WHAT a happiness! These have to be the most hospitable hosts we have ever met :) The couple who run this are simply the most gracious people, who go out of their way to help. We were given food, late check out, and when the cyclone was over, the brother drove us back to Cairns!! Who would do such a thing :)) This is ...

«Lovely rainforest location! Comfortable rooms and good kitchen facilities. Loved walking in the forest and observing the animals during the nightly feeding. I will note that the shower was frequently cold in the evenings and very low pressure.»

«Although the property is a bit dated, it was very clean overall, except that some of the cutlery wasn’t as clean as expected. The facilities were well equipped, and the garden was beautiful. We especially enjoyed relaxing and having meals on the deck, which was very comfortable. Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed our time here.»

If you are looking for somewhere quiet and idyllic to unwind and relax this is it, this incredible well appointed appartment offers stunning views while still being close enough to Yungarra Village to access all of the cute shops to wander and yummy food to sit and enjoy or take back home to cook. Nothing was a bother everything was restocked as requested by the lovely staff. We will be back for sure.»
