«We had an awesome 2 nights at Hawkestone hideaway, beautiful accommodation and the views are spectacular. Very quiet and our dogs totally loved having so much safe space to be, the walks were beautiful and a great way to tire out the pups. It was so lovely to have all the extras that were thoughtfully provided by the hosts, felt very welcome. «Kia ora! We used this whare as a research retreat to do some writing and some deep thinking. The accommodations were lovely, clean, and tidy. An extra nice touch was a load of wood being dropped off at the whare if we needed it, and a 10% discount at the cafe, literally at the end of the driveway, was very convenient and a lovely touch of hospitality. «A cute little cabin, which was clean and well equipped for a short stay. It was noisy being next to the road, but we knew this and ear plugs were provided. Thebed having spring legs was great, they took out any shuddering from the passing trucks. The sauna was a nice little bonus too.»

«Such a great little stop off on our way to the ferry! Wish we could have stayed longer and checked out the beautiful spot and done some of the experiences offered. Fantastic for kids and dogs, so cozy and comfortable, not fussy which is always perfect with kids and literally every single thing had been thought of from gumboots to bikes to breakfast goodies to antihistamines and a loaded medicine cabinet! Would absolutely recommend again. Super easy and warm on arrival.»
