«The staff was pleasant. The property needs a lot of improvements. Looks nothing like the pictures on Expedia. The room wasn't cleaned the entire 2 weeks we were there. We only got clean towels. The toilet had mold under the rim. The smoke detector had tape over where the detector should be. There was black stuff around the bathroom floor.»

«We live in Knoxville but booked this property for our family to stay for our daughter’s March wedding at the beautiful nearby Opal Oak Summit. It was the perfect location & we can’t express enough how kind the owners were. We had no issues whatsoever & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lakefront property! »

«We had severe weather the night before my stay and the property lost power. The host let us know and kept us up to date on the citation with the restoration, had great communication. We loved the location and spacious parking as well as fire pit and noise from the stream. We are already planning our next trip back»

The “gas grill” shown in the photos is actually a basic charcoal grill, which required extra cost and effort.Cleanliness was also an issue upon arrival (dust, sticky surfaces, and areas not properly cleaned). Private and especially clean and cozy.The bathroom and shower building was very very clean which is important.The cabin is very well thought out, the chairs on the deck double as rockers yet perfect as just chairs, the outdoor firepit is great and works well, and a propane grill so don't have to drag along charcoal along with the rest of what a person might need.This place is wonderful and highly recommend for one or two people.»

«Mrs Shirley is a sweetheart and provided a great cabin for our needs. We had plenty of room for our 20’ flatbed trailer and SxS. Cabin is close to the trails and about 4 miles to the General Store. The cabin provides few cooking options so bring supplies for that, also scrub brush for cleaning dishes. Plenty of hot water after a long day of riding. Enjoy…. We will definitely be back to enjoy Shirley’s little peice of paradise. »
