«We came into the area for the Haltfield and McCoy Half Marathon. It was conveniently located to the race finish and the packet pickup. Otherwise, it would have been an hour drive from Pikeville or Logan, WV. It was charming and just perfect for our needs. The bonus was allowing dogs to stay on the premises. The train didn’t bother us at all.»

«The cabin would have been fantastic, if it was clean. Ms. Tammy was out of state and her cleaning person didn't do a good job cleaning for her. We cleaned what we needed to to stay there, but was disappointed that we were on a little getaway and needed to clean before settling in after an 11 hour drive to get there. «We’ve been coming to HMT for about 6 years. The house was great. Clean. Well maintained. Host was readily available for any and all questions. Self check in. Love the central location between all of our normal trails. I gave it a 4 star over all because although it had free wifi there was no cellular service.
