Panwila

«Let me start with the good points since there are very few : the look of the room - beautiful Now the rest, I’m an experience traveller and experienced in hospitality and I am ensuring that this hotel can charge such a high price or the poor service provided : - we cannot driving ourselves and it’s been impossible to find the hotel : the pin location is not accurate (the hotel is located almost an hour from kandy im the countryside) and there are no sign anywhere to indicate the right ...

13. AARA Wild Sigiriya

Kandalama

«Aara Wild near Sigiriya was the highlight of our whole Sri Lanka trip. From arrival, the warmth of the welcome set the tone – every member of staff, from housekeeping to guides to the kitchen team, was genuinely, unfailingly lovely. It’s rare to feel so looked after and so at ease at once. The activities were fantastic and varied: a sunset walk with incredible views, a relaxed afternoon tea, a chef’s dinner served poolside under the stars, and a hands-on cooking class. Each felt personal rather ...

14. Castle palace kandy

Teldeniya

«De lobby was kil en sfeerloos. Overal felwitte spaarlampen.

Fox Kandy by Fox Resorts- Luxury in the Mist

8/10 Bra

"Nice hotel! Very kind and helpful staff! The hotel is located far up in the mountain. It does not take 4 minutes down to kandy lake as it says on the advertisement it took us 20-25 minutes. We also had trouble with car and tuktuks not being able to drive all the way up there because the road is so steep, narrow and winding. The food in the restaurant at the hotel was average. The message we got from the hotel before checking in said they could not sell alcohol because they were in the process of obtaining liquor license. This information is not up to date as we were able to buy alcohol. Very nice pool!"

Heritance Kandalama

8/10 Bra

"Heritance Kandalama is a beautiful and unique hotel with a fantastic location, impressive architecture, and several lovely swimming pools. The hotel feels luxurious, and the surroundings make the stay a memorable experience. However, we had booked a room for four people, but when we arrived, there were only beds and towels for three. When we asked for an extra bed for our eight-year-old daughter, the hotel initially wanted to charge us extra. After quite a bit of discussion, they eventually provided the bed at no additional cost, but this should have been arranged in advance when the booking was clearly for four people. Overall, it is a very nice and fairly luxurious hotel, but guests should be prepared for many additional charges. We enjoyed our stay, but the service regarding the room setup could have been better."
