«A group of 14 adults gathered here for 5 nights, and we had a wonderful time. The property manager, Judy, and her team added so much to the stay! They had arranged cars for us to get to the airport and had our groceries already stocked at the house! «This is a cute little cottage with an absolutely gorgeous view & access to shallow water 2-4 feet when tides out! Owner has snorkel equipment, kayaks, floats and other supplies for enjoying the water! It’s a bit of an inconvenience to run to the grocery so bring your own food. Kitchen is fairly stocked w most things needed to prepare food. We loved the dock, especially at night when star gazing was great! The visiting dogs are a fun addition! Host is very attentive.»

The upstairs Patio was everything we wanted relax and enjoy a sunset after your day and the view. «This was our second time at Gate house. It was a shorter trip and we were reluctant to leave. I appreciated the pool and was in it every afternoon. We also love the beach to the South of the house and all the friendly people around to help. It was great seeing Harrison again and of course we really enjoyed seeing Captain Reynold and our fishing trips with him. Cat Island is truly beautiful and we can’t wait to come back!»

«The property is in a great location and we really enjoyed our stay. I can't give it a 5 star rating though due to the fact that it is advertised as a 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath and we were never able to use the 3rd floor bathroom due to the low water pressure. I know this is not the owners fault, but it really should be advertised as a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath. We were able to take a shower outside where there was an outdoor showerhead.
