«My family of four - the wife loved the place and so did our adult child and hurricane of a toddler. It has the amenities needed during our stay. If you have kids, there is a small playground for them to run out their energy but just watch out for dog poop (It gets cleaned up right away, we just had bad outdoor timing). But overall, awesome stay there.»

It's about three minutes out of town so it's quiet but you can get to a restaurant quickly if you don't take advantage of the full kitchen this place offers. «We came in Fall for a quick getaway to explore the area. The Great Outpost was indeed, great!Our host were welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed and more, including the hot tub. «We had an absolutely wonderful time! We loved the space, especially the big deck for stargazing and the creek for splashing around. There was AC throughout the house which made the hot days easy. This place is a total gem and only 12 minutes from town and the river! The only thing we would change for our next visit is that we would bring an extra air mattress as some of the fold out couches weren’t super comfortable.
