Yes- wineries the casino and Finger Lakes are in the general area and this property is in a quiet little neighborhood less than 2 miles from Elmira College- perfect for parent drop-off weekend.The rental felt like it was a brand new renovation & a new listing. «Property was nothing like advertised. Its in a very sketchy and questionable area of Elmira when it comes to safety. The apartment is the only building on a one way street upstairs a very steep flight of steps that can be difficult for anyone to get up to. The apartment smelled of must and was very hot. There was no a/c except for one's in the bedroom window which werent even turned on and it was June. The sheets on the beds were stained and didnt not look clean. There were not enough ...

«Our stay was really nice. The Bungalow is super cute. Very cozy, warm and inviting. I especially liked the fact that our host left us farm fresh eggs for breakfast. That was a nice touch., which was very appreciated. The Bungalow is also centrally located to lots of things to do in the area. We would definitely recommend this charming little oasis away from home to anyone looking to just get away and relax. »

«The fireplace was wonderful, it did get cold enough to use it. The bed was comfy and the couch was perfect for napping or sleeping. The kitchen had nice pans and a few cooking necessities like oil and spices. We were fascinated by the hay bale construction of the cabin and how beautiful and warm the house was. We self toured our little section of woods and said hello to the sheep. Unfortunately the weather was quite cool so we did not spend much time out doors. »

«Cindy is a really wonderful host and was so helpful. Even before we arrived she contacted me to make sure I could find the property. She even gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy a long with many excellent restaurant and winery recommendations. The home itself is very cozy with a beautiful view of the lake. Fireplace is warm. Kitchen is large with all the cookware needed. Walmart is 5 minutes away for any supplies. Watkins Glen hike was made so much better by staying here. Highly recommended.»

The unit has a double security entrance so it is well suited to a solo traveler.
