«Felt like grandma's house in a great way. Although it did not bother my family, it should be noted that there is not central heating and air. There are window units and fans for cooling and space heaters for warming. It was a chilly Nov night and we were very toasty with the space heaters. Perfect place for our mtn road trip. We rested well and were close to food and groceries. Couldn't ask for more. »

"We stayed one night as we where driving through Blowing Rock. The hotel is charming and private, yet within walking distance to the centre of Blowing Rock. The rooms felt very clean and spacious. The included breakfast was alright - nothing special but atleast theres some warm options to choose from. Friendly staff as well. The negatives: the gap around the room door ment that voices/sounds in the hallway easily made its way into the room. This was not really an issue for us as we stayed here in a time of the year with less travellers, but i guess this could be troublesome in the high season. Furthermore the pool was closed (they had an option at a neighbouring hotel instead) and there was a bit of mold on one of the types of bread they served for breakfast. All in all the negatives did not bother us too much. This was among the cheapest hotels in Blowing Rock at the time i booked, and I would certainly stay here again. "
