«The hotel lies conveniently within walking distance to Kralendijk. The resort is a bit tired down, but the standard is absolutely ok if you just want a place to sleep on a busy vacation. The dive shop, and all the dive instructors were great. What really disappointed us, was the general service level at the hotel. There were garbage (empty beer bottles, napkins and plastic) on the little beach area, that no one in the staff bothered to clean up, even though several guests made remarks about it. ...

«Buddy Dive was a nicer hotel then we expected it to be. The apartment we had, looked recently renewed. The resort has a great location if you are there for diving or snorkelling. The reef at Buddy is truly amazing!!!Dive shop and gear is great, so is the dive staff. It is ca 30 min walk to the town center, and to get around you should have a car. «The owners are amazing, very welcoming and going out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We felt more like family than customers. Our unit was quite nice and, when it came to the amenities, it was clear that they had put lots of thought into what their guests might need. «The new owners are working hard to refresh this historic property. The seaside location is a gem and the staff members are friendly and attentive (special shout-out to Julia). The full breakfast is a wonderful benefit, and my mahi-mahi dinner was absolutely delicious! An added bonus is the proximity to another excellent restaurant, as well as a scuba center for those who come to Statia to dive. Thanks to Peter and Jeanette and your amazing staff!»
