«There were only a few people staying so our room was upgraded which was nice. Staff friendly. Parking good. Bar seemed well stocked. The meal was good. We had roast dinners and couldn’t eat it all. Breakfast was quite good but the cooked breakfast was a little too dry. Downsides 1. There was a constant loud humming noise in the room. No idea what it was. 2. «A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. «Lovely room at top, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, bathroom spacious. Cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. «Amazing find! Everything was perfect, room very well decorated and equipped, food in restaurant was delicious and staff were lovely, literally 10 minute drive to airport for an early morning flight and felt like my holiday had started early. Will definitely be making this a regular stop off »
