«John and Carol are wonderful hosts. It really reminds me of going up for family vacations in the 80's and 90's. Very laid back and helpful if any questions or needs arise. Beautiful Lodge and grounds. Great access to boat slips and great boat launch. Our cabin (daybreak) was literally right over the water. Woke up to waves lapping every morning. Lots for the kids to do and fishing is bar none»

«Very nice little guest cabin tucked in the woods. Option to rent the boat they have or not, which helped us out a lot for keeping our daily options open on where and when we wanted to fish. My only complaint is the pontoon died several times out in the water but good news is that it always restarted for us after a bit. I did have to jump in the water to avoid hitting one shoreline, but after it died that last time, we fished for awhile and didn’t turn it off again until we were back at the boat ...

«This cabin is in a beautiful location. The cabin was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The view of the lake and the abundant wildlife was just what we were hoping for. The night sky is indescribable. I would recommend this cabin as a number one choice if you plan on staying in this area. Jamey was easy to talk with, readily available to answer questions and provided a lot of information on where to eat and who to contact for boat tours.»

«Location was easy to access and the manager was quick to respond via text. Beds were very comfortable. A couple of comment's on the Willow Cabin...clean, spacious, comfortable. Bathroom could benefit from a new shower curtain, the remote control volume button didnt work, the light above the sleeping area kept blinking and the lamp and power cord for the bed on the far right didn't work. I still gave a 5 star rating because all of these things can be easily addressed.»

«Easy check in process, great communication from the host with easy-to-follow, clear instructions. Easy to get to as well. Kind of a no-frills stay, but that’s what we were looking for and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. We’d definitely stay again.»

«The bathroom was the biggest problem with mold and moldy black baseboards coming apart at the base molding. (No pun intended.) The hot water heater was literally next to the bed, covered in carpeting with loose screws on top. The location was misrepresented and not in the park or even in a wooded area, but on an atrial street in a neighborhood.»

«Nice and quiet location on the Rat Root River. Was offered canoe and small V bottom to use by the awesome host. Was well taken care of and given locations and tips to go fishing . The place has a great history ,area full of friendly people and everyone I mentioned the place to I met said they loved that old saloon. I do too!»

«The property is beautiful. The cabin was nice and spacious. Stayed nice and warm during our trip. It was so relaxing sitting next to the fireplace and watching the snow blow off the trees. The lake is big and has plenty of room to fish or snowmobile during the winter. They had an awesome ice rink setup with hockey nets and everything. There is a huge playground that our kids spent a lot of time on and were upset when we’d pry them off of it. We stayed over the new year and they had a big fire ...
