Service was horrible. Room and food is nasty. Room and bathroom was not clean. Dirty sheets, no bath towels. Tub is old and stained; needs renovation. Toilet was stopped up. When I told the front desk all the issues I experienced, he hollered in my face “ you need to speak with reservations and they’re at lunch “. When I asked to speak with a supervisor due to the unprofessionalism, I got the run around and was never assisted. I left after the 1st day and will never come back again

The location is amazing and rooftop pool was my favorite watching the cruise ships etc. It was not very clean compared to other Mexican resorts and lots of rust in lower pool that looked unsanitary. Breakfast was good and lunch options ok we didn't care for either dinners but was walking to good restaurants and amazing massages across the street.

This was not a good property to stay. I booked this for my birthday and was very disappointed not only with the condition of the rooms but with the food. The buffet serves pretty much the same thing everyday which would have been okay however it was constantly left uncovered and flies were everywhere. There weren't any attempts to remove any bugs from the food. We booked with the adults side only but had to walk over to the family side to eat everyday as this was the only option they had for enclosed dining outside of the individual restaurants. If you are booking for your family the other side of the plaza seems nice but I definitely would not stay at the Golden again.

Van dos años consecutivos que nos hospedamos en el hotel y desde el primera ver que nos quedamos note que el puente que tienen al cruzar la alberca es muy inseguro y hay que pasar con mucha precaución ya que está demasiado inclinado, este año tuve un accidente me caí de frente, tuve laceraciones en una rodilla y me lastime los dedos de los pies, me hicieron curación y me dijeron que no se hacían responsables que acudiera a mi servicio médico, afortunadamente al siguiente día dejaba el hotel pero no me pareció muy responsable del hotel que antes de cualquier cosa me dijeran que no era su culpa y nisiquiera volvieran a preguntar si todo estaba bien

I thought it was an average hotel for the area. There were noticeable repairs needed to tile and building structure. But all in all, for the money, it was good. I think for the age group, the music at the pool could be a little quieter; sounded like a disco all day.

Was here for 6 days and had no complaints other than the Mediterranean a la carte, it was old food and the restaurant was dirty. However, every other restaurant was excellent! Italian was my personal favourite. The resort was very clean, ALL staff were absolutely awesome and friendly. Rooms were great, ac worked and had a nice ocean view. Roof top pool and bar was definitely the spot to be! Would definitely go back and recommend to others

This was our 2nd year in a row visiting Puerto Vallarta to celebrate our wedding Anniversary (last year at the RIU, which was better) and our 2nd Crown Paradise Visit (last 2 years ago in Cancun, which was better than the RIU) So we were expecting a great stay but was disappointed. First the extreme highlight and what saved this trip to manage 3 stars was our Primary Concierge Ulises (who is a 5 star concierge (also shout out to Enrique who oriented us at check in and helped when we has a problem with our initial room) So the trip… as you and the hotel knew we were there to celebrate our 13th anniversary and the oceanfront deluxe King Room we were given was ground floor with the Beach Bar literally right

The staff were awesome. The food was not great. The lunch places were not open until 1:00 pm. Isn't noon lunch time?? I think it was to push the hotdogs/burgers/fries at the poolside lunch bars. The ala carts were hit and miss, mostly miss. Sure noticed not enough staffing for some places to be open. Bit run down since I was there 1 1/2 years ago. All in all I would give it a 7 out of 10.
