We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Tides. Our first-floor end unit provided wonderful privacy and was the perfect size for my husband, our teenage son, and me. We especially appreciated the secluded feel of the property, the convenient beach access, and having a washer, dryer, and dishwasher in the room. The staff, including Brenda and the housekeeping team, were excellent, and having bikes available was a great plus.
While we would certainly stay again, here are some things I wish were different:
- Gym Facilities: The gym could use some updates. I ended up running outside most days, which felt very safe, but I would have appreciated having lighter weights available for strength training.
- Kitchen Supplies: The kitchen was not very well-appointed. While the pots and pans were good, there were very few dishes and bowls. We also noticed a lack of basic items like mixing bowls for preparing salads or scrambled eggs.
- Construction Noise: There is major construction occurring directly behind the property. While the noise did not affect our sleep, it was noticeable when we were outside (but not while at the pool). This was not a big deal for us at this staged of construction.
