Pottenstein is one of the most beautiful and well-known places in Franconian Switzerland. The town is famous for its impressive rock formations, historical sights, and diverse leisure activities.



A special highlight is Pottenstein Castle, perched on a rock above the town. Dating back to the 11th century, it offers a magnificent view of the surroundings. Visitors can tour the castle and learn about its fascinating history.



Pottenstein also impresses with its scenic landscape and numerous hiking and cycling trails, such as the Püttlachtal, Klumpertal, and the Pottenstein Höhenweg with the Himmelsleiter observation tower.
