Fantastisk beliggenhet
Fikk ikke reist nå i mars grunnet Korona, men besøker dette hotellet hvert år. Hovedgrunnen er beliggenheten.

Gutes Hotel direkt in einem Einkaufszentrum mit großer Parkgarage, zentral gelegen. Badezimmer könnte renoviert werden. Frühstück vielfältig.

my son lives not far from the hotel so we visit regularly the only thing I didn't like was the breakfast, which wasn't as good as it used to be

This hotel is perfectly placed to mix shopping in Gunwharf Quays with a ferry crossing.

Holiday Inn Express are prefect for the tourist and traveller. If you have no need for conference rooms and fancy restaurants, then why pay extra? A buffet breakfast is fine for most people. I always look for HIE if I can because you can guarantee great value and facilities.

I changed rooms four times. Ended up in one which stank of smoke and had a sofa bed taking up a large part of the room. The curtains didn't fully close either. I had an early start and was assured by the manager I could get breakfast at 0600. I couldn't. For the price £129 it was appalling and I will never stay there again. I visit Portsmouth regularly and will try a different hotel next time.

Great place for a break
Great service as always. Find the beds a little uncomfortable- premier inn beds are better - would like a shower cubicle without a curtain - perhaps bathrooms could do with upgrading. Love the hairdryer, iron and board. Love the fact we can get free hot drinks and pastries on the reception area and there are things for children to play with. Always very clean and in an excellent location.

Nous avons eu une chambre avec portes communicantes et même si ces dernières étaient bien sûr fermées nous avons pu profiter pleinement des bruits occasionnés par des parties de jambes en l'air une bonne partie de la nuit.. Nous en avons fait part à la réception qui s'est empressée de nous proposer lors de notre prochain séjour une meilleure chambre!

Nice break for a couple of days.
Good walking distance to the ferries, train, beach and museums. Parked the car up for the entirety at £2 per day. Free breakfast was OK. Plenty of places to eat in the evening. Tesco express next door for snacks/lunch. Weather was terrible, still had a good time.

We had a really comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and sorted out a Third Party problem when we arrived. We have stayed several times in this Hotel.

Overall good just minor issues which the cleaners
There was no soap in the dispenser and the shower plug was blocked as was the sink. Hairs were coming back up.. off putting. Breakfast was lovely, parking was easy and free.

I booked this hotel as a pool was listed as one of the hotels facilities. Upon arriving, the receptionist said that there was no pool. This hotel is still listed as having access to a pool, so I'm not sure where the pool was. The receptionist wasn't forthcoming with the details. The breakfast was plentiful and the parking very cheap.The proximity to Gun Wharf a bonus. The day we stayed the roof leaked due to a storm (October), and there was no heating or hot water. We were given a late check out as compensation. An okay stay marred by the leak and no pool.

In need of a refurbishment…..
This hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. Tired, dated and dingy rooms - my son asked me if I was in hospital - he was spot on - it was like being on a side ward. Staff were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was really good.
