Two private 2-bedroom apartments in the same Victorian, booked as one package. Different doors, same address — built for the kind of trip where you want everyone close but with their own space. Multi-generational family weeks, wedding parties, friend groups celebrating something — anyone who`s rented one big rambling rental and ended up wishing for two kitchens and two bathrooms.

THE SETUP
Two complete 2-bedroom apartments — Apt 2 (second floor) and Apt 3 (third / top floor). Each has:
• Two bedrooms with queen beds, plush linens
• One full bathroom
• Full kitchen (gas range, dishwasher, full-size fridge)
• Living room with Smart TV
• Private balcony off the front
• In-unit washer and dryer
• One dedicated off-street parking spot

Apartment 3 is the brighter one with more sun and corner windows. It also has a separate yoga/meditation room and a standing desk for any remote work that creeps into the trip. Apartment 2 has a yoga corner (rather than a full room) and a slightly mixed mattress profile (memory foam in one bedroom, inner-spring in the other).

GETTING BETWEEN THEM: the apartments aren`t internally connected — you walk through the shared stairwell, one flight up or down. The stairwell is shared with one other apartment in the building (a third unit not part of your booking).

ORIGINAL VICTORIAN: both apartments have tin ceilings, columns, fireplace mantles, and original moldings — the kind of Portland architectural character that`s hard to find in a rental.

PARKSIDE & PORTLAND
Parkside is the quiet residential neighborhood on Portland`s peninsula, lined with Victorian-era homes. Within a 5-minute walk: Deering Oaks Park (Saturday farmers market in summer), Tandem Coffee, Bard Coffee, State Theatre, Maine College of Art & Design. Within a 15–20 minute walk: the Old Port (Eventide Oyster, Fore Street, dozens of restaurants), Allagash and Bissell Brothers breweries, Portland Museum of Art, the Casco Bay Lines ferry terminal.

SHORT DRIVE
Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth (15 min). Crescent Beach and Two Lights State Park (15 min). L.L. Bean and the Freeport outlets (25 min). Pemaquid Beach for a day trip up the coast (90 min, where we have a separate property at Laughton House & Cottages).

HONEST NOTES
Walk-up building, no elevator. Three flights of stairs to the top apartment. We are not a pet-friendly property (ADA service animals welcome with advance notice — please reach out before booking). No smoking anywhere in the building. No parties or overnight guests beyond your registered group. Eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products on every turnover.
