«Very helpful and friendly people. They even made breakfast an hour earlier on request. That made up for any problems. Would stay again. Room comfortable. Food good. Room for improvement: - door lock broken - lamp in room missing bulb - floor could do with a shampoo - hot and cold tap in the bath wrong way round - shower head holder broken; had to hold shower head - not enough toilet paper for 2 night stay - room not refreshed during the stay (dirty mugs replaced, glasses removed, fresh milk ...

«Just returned home from a lovely stay at The Sandrock in Lynton. The Sandrock is a little out of the way of the main high street but still only a 5 minute walk to the shops etc. We stayed in room 4 which was clean and well appointed, the en suite was spacious (huge infact!)and the towels really fluffy, it was also super clean and tidy. The room had lots of little extras to make it cosy and homely. The bed was really, REALLY comfy, so much so that even my partner who usually struggles when we are ...

«When we arrived we were told by the landlady that the place was not a hotel as it was currently undergoing refurbishment. However the landlady and her mother were the most helpful, accommodating and kind people I have met in a long time. They gave us all food and drink, made telephone calls and even drove us to our rearranged hotel. They couldn’t have done more. When the hotel reopens it will be the best place to stay because of the kindness and welcoming of those who own and manage it.»
