We had a great time. The house is even better in person. Only note is the kitchen is empty of spices (salt, pepper, etc.) but otherwise well stocked. We enjoyed our time and it's a very close walk to the beach.

FAMILY VACATION 2024

OVERALL THE PROPERTY WAS NICE. THE FANS IN THE OUTDOOR COVERED AREA NEED REPLACING AS THEY ARE BADLY RUSTED AND LOOK LIKE THEY COULD FALL OFF THE CEILING AT ANY MOMENT. SOME OF THE FRONT STEPS ARE WEAK AND LOOSE AND NEED REPLACEMENT AS THEY FEEL UNSTABLE. A LOT OF THE OUTDOOR OUTLETS DO NOT WORK, SOME IN THE OUTDOOR COVERED AREA ALL OF THE ONES WE TRIED ON THE SECOND FLOOR DIDN'T WORK WHICH WAS ANNOYING.

Perfect Vacation

Cape Lime Pie was perfect for our family of 14 with 2 children under 3 years old. The house was clean and organized just as pictured, and the pool area exceeded our already high expectations of comfort and fun.

Secluded getaway

If you are looking for seclusion, Cape Lime Pie is the house for you. Short walking distance to the beach. The pool cabana is a nice hangout spot especially on rainy days. The beach water is not clear year round. Make sure to pack your bug spray!

A little disappointing

The house was roomy and clean. Loved the private pool. It needs some attention for sure. The refrigerator leaks onto the kitchen floor. Constantly. The freezer handle kept coming off when we opened the door. The top level bathroom faucet leaks and whistles. The pool lights wouldn’t work. The hot tub was broken and out of service. We had a mystery repair man show up and demand to be let in to repair the master bathroom tub, which had not even been used. He became quite annoyed when he wasn’t granted entry but we had no knowledge of a scheduled repair. And several other minor issues that became annoying….for the price we paid for the rental, it was off putting. Also the pitch of the stairs in the house is very abnormal and caused going up and down to become problematic for a lot of us. We loved the area…. The house…. Not so much.

Family Vacation

Great week at Cape Lime Pie at Cape San Blas! Loved the house, plenty of space for our growing family. The pool area was awesome! Loved the shelter with fridge, picnic table, and fire pit. Loved the hot tub! Short walk to a private beach area that had plenty of space for all the families staying in the neighborhood. Great location, highly recommend for large families!

Wonderful house with an even better pool area

The house was really nice and open, with wonderful floor to ceiling windows. It was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. With that being said, the pool and lounge area next to the pool really stood out as something amazing. We spent a lot of time poolside and it was very enjoyable.

Cape Lime Pie during a heat wave.

This property was really comfortable and fit our needs so well! Our stay was during a heat wave and the pool had some problems. It was murky on arrival and cleared some by the second day. The pool water stayed so hot! Then it got really murky again so we called and reported the problem. The pool crew came and shocked the pool but said they were out of chlorine. On the last day of our stay 2 of the 4 ac units went out. It was really hot on the upper two floors. The first repairman came about 5 hours after we called and said the units had to be replaced. A rep from rental agency called to let us know she was sending someone else. He arrived a couple hours later and was able to get one of the units running. The upper 2 floors were down to 79 and 80 degrees at bedtime. Certainly not ideal. We liked the property enough that we might give it another try next year. Hopefully these are not normal issues at this property.

Fantastic

Cape Lime Pie was fantastic. Plenty of room for 10 people. We were close to town but yet far enough not to have to worry about being over crowded. The beach was a 3 minute walk from the house and was gorgeous. Going up the coast to the end of Cape San Blas state park was wonderful. Stopped at the fresh seafood market for lunch it was great. Went to towards St. George island and a had a great fresh oysters in Apalachaicola at a place called Hole in the wall fresh oysters bar. The house was decorated very ocean like. We are all ready planning our return trip to Cape Lime Pie with other family members.

Big Group, Great Time

All 12 of us had such a great time at the Cape Lime Pie beach house. There is plenty of room to spread out and gather. The pool deck and outdoor living area was a hit for our large group. The outdoor elevator was an added bonus for getting our groceries to the kitchen as well as luggage. The photos don’t lie, it’s a beautiful home with plenty of space. You won’t be disappointed. The beach access is a two minute walk around the corner Baytowne was helpful and responsive to any needs or questions we had. Our only complaint is not a reflection on the home or property management group, but when the sun goes down the mosquitoes come out - so bring your bug spray.

A Great Family Vacation

We had our first family vacation with our adults kids and their families and our very close friends. The house was very clean, we had everything we needed to cook. The pool was a lifesaver! The kids loved it and it kept them occupied since the weather wasn't the best that weekend. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Loved Cape San Blas!

We truly enjoyed our visit. We had a minor issue with one bathroom and it was fixed within a few hours! We loved access to the beach and our private pool. The house was well stocked with everything we could need! The outdoora full-sized refrigerator came in handy. The fire pit was cozy. The owners provided bug deterrents! Thank you! One suggestion we would appreciate for safety would be to add a railing to get into the pool as our group's ages ranged from 3 to 87. We will definitely be back!

Great Time

It was perfect for my family. Everything was amazing. The stairs are a little wearing having to run up and down but not a deal breaker. It’s a little odd that the only bathroom on the living area is in the master bedroom. The only true complaint I have is that the mosquitos 🦟 were the worst I have ever dealt with my whole life, however that does not reflect on the quality and hospitality of this great property. The beach and bay are close and easily accessible.

Perfect large group house!

The perfect house for a large group! We had 6 couples so we each had our own room. There was even room for the kids. Our favorite part was the covered porch by the pool that we ended up living at the entire weekend! The walk to the beach is two long blocks. If you have kids make sure you bring a wagon. Would definitely rent this house again!

Amazing Month!

Everything about Cape Lime Pie Baytowne Vacation Rental was superior! The house was huge and beautiful with nothing missing in terms of what is needed to have a stress free vacation. Having our kids and grandkids for a week was one of the highlights. They loved the pool and sitting outside altogether enjoying laughs, drinks, and family. The beach is so easily accessible and the fishing was just enough to appease the men and to supply us all with luscious fishcakes and filets. Aside from loving the house, we cannot say enough about Baytowne Rentals...the folks there are super! Whenever we had a question or concern they got on top of the issue right a way. During our stay, my husband's mom passed and paperwork was needed to finalize the cremation of her remains and we were able to go to the office at Baytowne and get all of it done with the help of the staff who are very knowledgeable and kind. Gladly, if we all stay healthy, we plan to spend 5 more glorious weeks at Cape Lime Pie again in 2020. We are thrilled and excited to return to beautiful Cape San Blas to make more lasting memories and friendships! Thank you all so much for making us feel so welcome & special! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! Beautiful house! Super clean and a great area!

The house was very nice, plenty of room and spotless!! It was in a great location. The only cons were the living room furniture wasn't very comfortable and needed some dish washing towels and more dish washing pods. But overall it was great and we would definitely stay again!
