«This is an absolute haven of tranquility and you don’t expect a lodge like that while driving down the East coast of Raiatea. The garden is stunning and you can read about all the plants. By the small beach is a lily pond and the hillside is a jungle of the most amazing vegetation. I was greeted very warmly and shown around, there is a beautiful communal area with a kitchen that is fully stocked and then you have little spaces in and outside of the fridge for the things you buy for yourself. ...

«An amazing peaceful and quiet OASIS surrounded by tropical flowers, views of the sunset and stars from the room! An easy walk to town. I want to come back and stay for a month! Jerome and Fidji were the most gracious of hosts, greeting us at the airport with beautiful lei! They assisted us with everything and offered to help arrange tours. «We absolutely loved our stay at Mauna Loa Lodge. The entire property is beautiful and peaceful, and it immediately made us feel welcome. The room was spotless and thoughtfully prepared, and all the small touches showed how much care the staff puts into maintaining the place. The tiny garden outside was especially lovely. We felt completely at home during our stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!»

«Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.»

«We loved our stay at the Volcano lodge! It was very peaceful, the jacuzzi was a nice place to relax at the end of the evening. Even though there were others staying on the property we rarely saw them. The lush rainforest was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again! Thank you!»
