This resort was exactly what we wanted! A quiet, local Costa Rican culture resort that offered beautiful beach views, with great hospitality, and lots of activities and excursions to do if you wanted. If you’re looking for a five star luxurious party experience, this is not your resort. This was laid-back, amazing people, close to local amenities, great off resort food options, and close to the airport. We were there in a bit of the off-season so some options were a little limited and we were totally OK with it. The resort is older, but it was clean and had everything we needed to make our experience a memorable one. I would hands-down go to this resort anytime, especially if you’re looking to travel on a budget and and save some cash for other Costa Rican experiences.

Rooms were nice, we booked romantic suites and were happy. The staff was great, shuttle was a life saver at times. The resort is on a very steep incline, ridiculously steep, we walked up from our unit but we were in building 1 and 2, and we are in good shape. Food was buffet snd decent, not great, lunch and snack food seemed to be out all afternoon, back out with dinner. Breakfast was the best, omelet bar was fresh, limited but good. Grounds a bit run down but still nice, access to real nice beach and small store at bottom of road with shuttle stop. Dinner at the restaurant on grounds was fantastic, comes with upgraded units, pre ordered from limited (but very good) choices, extremely nice dinner. Front desk staff very helpful, always smiles and able to answer questions. I have been to Costa Rica 8 times, 10 for my wife, we know what to expect. Overall, our experience was nice, the hill got easier after a few days, nice pools but better get there early to stake a claim on loungers. Pool bar seemed nice, not a drinker, had 1 drink entire trip, came down for dental. I will stay again and recommend to other travelers, room for improvement but the cost is affordable and the staff is great.

The room is just ok. Very dingy, clean is the only pro. Food is awful. There is really only one restaurant. The shuttle to hotel is only one way. You have to pay to get back to airport. Bars there are 2 and they serve one brand of alcohol and 1 brand of beer. 15 chairs for 4 pools. So don’t plan on sitting near the pool for the day.

Facility is in poor conditions, food very basic, none of the amenities were working, no towels, many other customers complaining about the same issues. We didn't even make it to the room. We were unavailable to canceled with Expedia because they didn't answer. The staff didn't resolve either, and we left without knowing if we're going to get a refund or not. After many hours of traveling, we left without one hotel room. We paid over $900 for 2 day stay. No cheap to be that bad. And at the end, we have to booked another place to stay.

Staff was very courteous, pools were great but we did not get clean towels for 5 days and had to keep asking to get things needed. The all inclusive food was very repetitive and not always sure what the meat was that we ate. They were out of tequila and wine on many days, ice cream was advertised but they did not have it on any days. The door to our room did not latch so to have the door shut it had to be deadbolted at all times. They bring you around on a jitney type vehicle, all amenities are at the top of the hill, it was challenging to climb up to the jitney for my mom who is elderly. There were some difficulties for handicap accessibility. Overall is a nice place for families or friends but would not recommend if you are looking to feel pampered and have all amenities.

The stay was not what I expected. There is only WiFi by the pool (not in the rooms). We ended up checking out two days early due to a sketchy snorkeling tour that we booked through the hotel. I’d avoid all of the tours that the hotel offers because it was unsafe and a scam.

Room was very tired. It is clear the resort has not been maintained. Our room had big stains on the walls. The curtains came flying off the patio door when opened. The staff are great. Food was ok.

Kitchen/ restaurant/ bar staff was great. Pools were pretty and clean. View was beautiful. Beach access was wonderful and spa was lovely. The hot tub did not work, which was very disappointing! Would have been so nice to have that. Some of the other staff was not wonderful, but was not upsetting enough to give a bad review all together.

Beautiful property on a hill with spectacular views of the ocean. Large spacious rooms and authentic Costa Rican food. Reliable shuttle to connect to the beach since the hotel is on a hill and walking up/down the hill an be challenging. Really warm ocean waters and hot temperatures with no humidity. Relatively no mosquitoes around this time of the year!

We had high hopes for Condovac la Costa Resort, but unfortunately, our stay was so disappointing that we checked out after just the first night. The resort offers 1 buffet, the limited options became repetitive almost immediately. There were virtually no healthy choices available, and the bread was stale. Families with children should note that there are no kid-friendly menu options. For an all-inclusive resort, the dining experience was severely lacking. The "hot tub" was cold—completely defeating its purpose. Getting pool towels was unnecessarily difficult after 5pm or before 9am. Each guest received only one bath towel. No bottled water was available. The pools were dirty and not properly maintained. Bar hours were inconsistent, with staff closing whenever they chose. There was Zero WiFi access in the rooms. No entertainment or activities offered. A few positives to note: The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well, staff was friendly. The location allowed us to walk to nearby beach restaurants, which became necessary since the resort food was so poor. Ironically, we ended up paying out of pocket for decent meals despite being at an "all-inclusive" resort. The experience was so subpar that we couldn't justify staying. When you're paying for all-inclusive accommodations and then walking off the property just to find edible food, something is seriously wrong. Cannot recommend this resort, would suggest looking elsewhere. Wish I had listened to reviews.

Staff could be more happy. Music could be less loud. Overall somewhat run down and limited drink option. On the bright side it was pretty cheap, very close to the beach, there was always food, the ride service was amazing and the views were great aswell. Cool birds around the premises.

The food is basically the same everyday, the hotel promise to refill the minibar in the rooms and never do, no wifi in the rooms and is terrible even in the common areas, staff is great honestly, place is coming apart it needs maintenance, but great location and view

Esto no es un hotel, es una pocilga, dista mucho de un all inclusive, instalaciones viejas y descuidadas, el comedor está muy lejos de llamarse BUFFE, no tiene caridad de bebidas, hace 3 días no tienen vinos ni tinto ni blanco, carecen de toallas de playa, no tienen servicio de bebidas en la playa, la higiene en el comedor es pésima, de hecho estuvimos 2 días con malestar estomacal yo y mi esposa, no responde nadie a los reclamos, hemos estado 7 días a la mano de dios. La verdad la propiedad tendría que hacernos un reembolso por toda esta mala experiencia ya que arruinaron mis vacaciones.
