Pros: Excellent location right off the pedestrian Fifth Avenue and bonus points for being beside Ah Cacao coffee shop. Spacious condo with nice furniture and decor. AC in each room/area worked well. Ceiling fans too. Nice bathrooms. Good closets, TV. Salt and pepper shakers in the kitchen. Good sense of security with gated entry. Cons: The pool was closed, infested when we arrived (ear worms?) and later the dropping pods of the sacred Ceiba tree made an almighty mess so no swimming during our 2 week stay. These are annual events apparently so check about pool condition before you book. The condo gets little natural light and is inadequately lit so cooking is challenging; bring a book light if you want to read in bed or on the sofa in the evening. Kitchen has one pot and one useable frypan, unable to light the oven and no instructions provided. Potable water was provided in a half-full jug on the floor with no dispenser. We brought in bottled water from local shops (OXXO on 10th has better prices than 7/11) but this is a very pricey way to go. Drain smells when we arrived dissipated after wafting incense and with time. We both found the beds hard, the worst one is in the 2nd bedroom but a foam mat we found made a difference. In common with other places I have stayed there are no face cloths, dish cloths or proper dish towels provided although we did find some in a storage tub.NB there are steps inside the entrance, again to the condo door or up to the pool area.
