This charming farmhouse is situated in the picturesque Tuscan countryside, offering breathtaking views from numerous vantage points. The welcoming hosts, Elena and Fabio, take great pride in their home and make you feel immediately comfortable. They possess extensive knowledge of the area and provide valuable suggestions to assist with planning. Die Lage der Ferienwohnung war einmalig, der Ausblick herrlich. Der Pool ist toll, wir haben viel Zeit dort verbracht. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt, das Geschirr müsste erneuert werden und die Bäder sind nicht schimmelfrei. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und bei Problemen ansprechbar und hilfsbereit.

Excellent farm house stay!

Our stay was outstanding! It was everything we were looking for: great owners, huge farm house in a tiny Tuscan village & views you have to see for yourself. It was great base for us to visit other Tuscan towns nearby. Elena & her husband gave us great suggestions for places to see and restaurants. Wish we were back there now...

Lovely view of hilltop village of Montichiello from the front yard. Pool was clean and house had all amenities needed. Owner was able to put us in touch with a chef for an alfresco dinner which she prepared and served. Great list of local restaurants provided. Convenient location to other val d'orcia towns for day trips. There was a plumbing issue in one of the showers but owners were notified and took care of.

Super hôtes!

Belle vieille maison typique de la Toscane ayant appartenue à la grand-mère d’Elena, notre hôte. Bien située dans un décor de rêve avec comme vue Monticchiello, Montepulciano et Pienza. Aurait besoin de quelques améliorations mais rien de vraiment dérangeant et qui ont été compensées par une réponse très rapide de Fabio le gentil propriétaire. L’accueil a été des plus chaleureux, les informations très pertinentes et nous nommons Elena et Fabio des super hôtes!

We had an amazing time at this very special place

This is a very special place, was by far one of the most enjoyable weeks we have ever had travelling and was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Elena and Fabio were great hosts, gave us some great tips and recommendations and we appreciated the opportunity to practise our Italian with this cheerful couple. The home suited our family of four perfectly, was well stocked with daily staples and the location of the home was perfect for us as it allowed us to do daytrips to a number of wonderful locations. It was close enough to walk into the great little hilltop town of Monticchielo, which we did on a number of occasions. Our boys loved the big private pool which was refreshing on the hot days and looked out over the valley and out to the town. All the views from the property were absolutely stunning as there is a near 360 degree view over the Tuscan countryside and you look right onto one of the iconic cypress lined winding roads we've seen in so many photos. We loved our time here and won't hesitate to recommend this place to our friends and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much Elena and Fabio.

The most incredible place to say in Tuscany!

We had an amazing time! Perfectly located, with an unbelievable view & access to lots of small towns and wineries. Fabio and Elena were incredible, helpful and kind. The private pool was a true highlight. Make sure to look up at the stars and fireflies during your visit! A must-stay.

Beautiful holiday home in beautiful location

The property is full of character and charm, set in beautiful gardens with amazing views. We found the house to be perfectly clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay with three generations of our family. We thoroughly enjoyed using the large swimming pool, particularly our 2 year old granddaughter. Elena and Fabio were extremely welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. We have no hesitation in recommending their home for future visitors to Tuscany.

Best house and perfect location in Tuscany

The house is located in the best area in Tuscany. It is close from many place to see and not that far from Sienna and Firenze. The house is very very clean and practice. Wonderful walks accessible all around and also by bikes. The tenants are among the most kind people there is and fully dedicated to help. We had a great stay !

Bellissimo Collosodo!

We are joining the chorus of other reviewers who have raved about their stay at Collosodo. My husband and I stayed for nearly a month and loved it. The house feels like home and Elena and Fabio couldn’t be more gracious. They live on the other side of the house and take meticulous care of the house and the grounds, which include the lovely pool. They were around and checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay but were also considerate of our privacy and so were never intrusive. But because they were around, unlike other VRBO rentals that we’ve had where the owners lived far away, they were readily available with friendly smiles and attended to any minor issues that arose. They also gave us great tips for eating out and places to visit and shop for food. The house is very comfortable with a nice size kitchen that is well outfitted. It was great to arrive and have eggs and juice in the fridge and pastries on the counter along with all of the necessary staples in the cabinets. There is plenty of space in the bathrooms for toiletries, lots of blankets in the closets (although we never needed them) and plenty of fresh towels every week. I combed every review before I arrived and no one mentioned the beds. So I’m adding that they are firm and provide good back support. Most of all, the views are absolutely sensational! A painter, I came with the intention of painting the scenery in the area. I painted everyday from the yard! Grazie mille Elena e Fabio!

Siamo stati in questa bellissima casa durante la settimana di ferragosto, cercavamo tranquillità, silenzio e relax e li abbiamo trovati! La vista, ovunque si guardi, é magnifica e in pochi km di macchina si raggiungono paesi meravigliosi. Elena e Fabio sono due persone gentili e disponibili. La piscina é molto grande e l'uso esclusivo é davvero raro da trovare. Consiglio assolutamente questa struttura, noi ci torneremo ;)

Lovely home, wonderful pool, ideal for the family

We stayed in this lovely house near Montichiello with our children which is a great base for the local towns of Pienza and Montepulciano. The children loved the pool and the house is brilliantly spacious, having three bathrooms which was excellent. All the bathrooms are well equipped, with space for all your toiletries and makeup. Absolutely the best pool of any house we've rented via VRBO. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and it was very kind of Elena to provide washing liquid, detergent etc for the appliances which meant we did not have to purchase everything! Montichiello has all the basic things you need too, we loved having a drink at La Guardiola and dinner at La Porta was lovely. Elena and Fabio are a lovely couple who looked after us very well. Thank you for providing a wonderful holiday house with such a picturesque location!

Best views of Tuscany Rollinghills

This was one of the most beautiful and panoramic views of the Tuscany country side and rolling hills that one could wish for. Elena and her husband were excellent hosts and made sure we were comfortable and our stay was worry free. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden and having a glass of Tuscany wine admiring the peaceful scenic views. We had just visited Rome and needed some quiet time. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for that true Italian Tuscany countryside experience.

Magnificent

This stay was one of our BEST experiences on VRBO. The hosts Elena and Fabio were both so welcoming and hospitable. They were immediately available for any questions and also suggestions of the local area. The property is so centrally located with incredible views of three destinations right from the villa! It was so easy to get around Tuscany. Montechiello was just 5 minutes away and was so charming. Also, has some amazing Michelin rated restaurants. The villa was spacious and very accommodating. We certainly hope to come back someday and would never want to stay anywhere else! Thank you Elena and Fabio for making our Tuscan dreams come true!!

The house with a view.

Hartelijk ontvangen door Elena Gavelli en haar man, vriendelijk en altijd klaar om te helpen. Ruime woning, rustig gelegen met prachtig uitzicht over de vallei. Zalig om wat rond te kuieren in de nabij gelegen dorpen Pienza, Monticchiello en Montepulciano. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

The perfect Tuscan location

We booked the house a year ago and were not disappointed. The house lies just outside the small village of Monticchiello overlooking the town and the via dei cipressi - arguably the prettiest road in Tuscany. The road to the house is a Strada Bianca and quite steep, so be prepared for some dust and rattling. Elena greeted us and showed us the house enthusiastically. Although English was limited, we communicated without problems. The rooms are large and although not air conditioned, the stone walls and nighttime breezes kept temperatures comfortable (we stayed there during a fortnight with daytime temperatures in the 97-100F range). The swimming pool was a great boon. The kitchen was well equipped and a washing machine made it easy to keep clothes clean. Internet was sufficient for most things (and let’s face it, you’re not here to be gaming!). Pienza and Montepulciano are both visible from the house and about 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again. Mille grazie Elena e Fabio!

Wonderful stay at Agriturismo Collosodo

We were visiting Monticchiello for a wedding and had an amazing stay at Agriturismo Collosodo. Elena was so welcoming and told us everything we needed to know about the house and village. She was easy to contact prior to checking in and made everything very easy for us. The house had everything we needed and was within walking distance of the village. The views were incredible and we spent most of our time relaxing at the beautiful pool. We had a brilliant weekend and I would recommend Elena and her house to everyone!
