Only 5 miles away is the traditional Yorkshire market town of Pickering, which combines atmospheric old inns, a 12th-century castle, a museum and the North York Moors Railway. Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall (National Trust), Duncombe Park and Rievaulx Abbey are just a few of the local treasures to discover.
