We will no longer be staying at any Best Western Hotels. We booked this hotel for January 14th through the 19th and January 21 & 22. Our flight from Spokane Washington was canceled due to fog. I contacted the hotel on the 14th, but they refused to cancel the reservation and charged me the full amount. The hotel stated their policy was to deny any refund unless 24 hours' notice was given. We expected to lose the charges for the 14th. The remaining days would qualify as having given 24 hours' notice. The hotel refused any refund or credit and simply kept our money. We are frequent travelers and have enjoyed Best Western Hotels. The one in Caen France treated us like Royalty! This policy is very unfair to travelers. We were cheated out of 6 days of fees for the two rooms we booked. Best Western Hotels may have suckered us out of about $1,500.00 for this booking, but they will never see another dollar from these frequent travelers. We will share this often with others.
