We had a great holiday. We stay for 4 nights ( 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 6)). The lodge is very cosy and it is very spacious. My son was very happy watching the ducks swimming in the pond. Children watched rabbits running around outside the lodge. Our grandparents flew over from Lithuania and they were left awestruck. Highly recommended Many Thanks😊

The best little break
Our stay at the lodge was wonderful, the most peaceful beautiful place, so comfortable and homely. Sarah was friendly and helpful. The area is amazing so many things to see and do we packed our days with hikes to caves and visits to historical landmarks and in the evening we played games and watched movies it was exactly what my family needed. Thank you so much Sarah!

Beautiful and Cosy Lodge in an idyllic location
A great tranquil location and easy to find in the countryside, lovely well laid out inside with ample space and everything you need.Excellent Private driveway well kept, fantastic views of the pond, and outside private space to chill. Overall ? Brilliant location,and close to lovely places to explore.

Idyllic location
This is a delightful spot beside a pond which teems with wildlife..We enjoyed watching several red squirrels collecting and burying nuts. The surrounding roads are very quiet and the scenery made them a joy for cycling.

Lovely place.
The lodge is lovely, it was very clean, good space to sit down as a family and eat, plus plenty of space to relax in the front room or outside, the outside overlooks a small pond, the area is quite, no shops locally but saw visiitors booking online delivery for supplies from both asda and sainsbury. It is a bit remote but we didnt mind and may go back again in the future.

Relaxing Time
Everything we needed in the property. Clean, warm and comfortable. Good communication with the owner. Enjoyed the pond and the bonus of a red squirrel visiting us each morning!

Where was the heat?!
Nice and spacious though the open-plan living area was bitterly cold and did not warm up despite all attempts to use the ‘boost’ function as per instructions. Left after ONE night as the weee lad was shivering!!

Thank you for your review, unsure what happened this is an extremely warm lodge too warm sometimes this has never happened for any other guests prior to your stay or after so all I can do is apologise the heating is left on timer so it is warm for guests arrival obviously there must have been an error. I don't live near and do depend on the cleaner to check everything is OK. All other heaters are instant and unsure why the lodge never got warm. I'm so sorry 😞 Sarah

Wow!
What a lovely lodge!! Going by all the reviews I booked the cottage and totally agree with the others that it’s surprisingly bigger than it looks in the pictures. Very clean and perfect location to just relax. We had birds on the patio all day long and kids loved feeding them. Sarah was prompt to reply and helpful. Highly recommend it!

Lovely cabin by the pond
Sarah was very welcoming from our first communication. The cabin itself is just wonderful! A very calm and peaceful location. We were a bit surprised by the pond, as in the picture, it looked like we would be able to sit by the waters edge and dip our toes. But it was not like that. It was still lovely regardless and if we're ever in the area again, we will definitely look to book here again. Thank-you!

An excellent break in the lakes in an outstanding property
The photos online don’t do this property justice. It was light, airy, spacious and immaculately clean. Our children loved watching the rabbits in the front garden and feeding the moorhen chicks that came up on to the decking from the adjoining pond, which was securely fenced off. We were delighted with our base for a few days in the Lake District. Highly recommend!

Lovely location recommended
What a lovely lodge based at the end of its rural site setting. 30 min drive to Ullswater and other great Lake District locations. The fenced off deking area was brilliant to keep our Children safe from the pond and with enough space to play. Fully recommended, we had a great break.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful lodge. Only a 20-30 minute drive to both Ullswater and Derwent Water it was a great base for exploring. The lodge is beautifully kept with everything we needed for our getaway. The site is peaceful with frequent visits from various wildlife including the red squirrels which were a joy to see. The lodge has a small designated garden area and a lovely deck overlooking the pond. If we ever head back to Cumbria this would be our first choice.

Amazing lodge in a beautiful location
Such a wonderful property. Everything you need warm cosy clean and plenty of room for 6. Location although abit out there was fine for us as only around 20 minutes from most st things we needed or wanted. We saw red squirrels and lots of rabbits and enjoyed how peaceful it was. The hosts have thought about everything you will need and provided it and everything is lovely clean and tidy. The place is just truly wonderful and we had an amazing time so thankyou very much for having us.

Amazing holiday accomodation
This is the best holiday cabin lodge I’ve lived around Lake District. We had a 5 day stay and it was all worth it. The lodge had everything we needed and it’s not far from the places we visited. I will definitely come back and stay in this tranquil little village.

Great place to stay
Really good property in a wonderful location. Not too far from local inns with good food and a short distance to Penrith. We did not know that wifii was available until the day after we arrived which was thanks to comment in guest book. Great host, very helpful when I rang for information. We will return!!

Could not have asked for more
Everything was perfect!! The kitchen had everything we needed and more, the living room is so comfortable with plenty of tables to put at your side and also a huge dinning table, the bedrooms are great plenty of room to get ready and comfortable beds and the decking outside is bliss just listening to the birds and watching the red squirrel run around ..I will definitely be booking back up for next year x

Total ger away from the Rat race.
Lovely Lodge set in the countryside and only 9mile from Penrith centre. So so quite I almost felt I was the only person alive, Red squirrels can be seen and a few Rabbits if you look out for them. Lodge very well equipped and good internet provided. 5star will be back soon

Wonderful Lodge
We can't find anything negative about renting this property. The lodge itself is extremely spacious, tastefully decorated, well equipped and in a lovely quiet spot whilst still being a convenient spot to stay to access the Lakes. Only positive comments from us and we will definitely be booking again.

We had a lovely stay in the lodge. It’s comfy and homely and has little touches like dishwasher tablets and tea left for us and biscuits which we really appreciate along with the fluffy towels. The balcony is perfect for everyone to sit in and safe for a little one to run around in. A truly relaxing break. Thank you. 😃😃

Great family get away
Me and my family had an amazing stay at Pondview Lodge, it had everything we needed and was very peaceful and relaxing. The outside grass space and the large decking area were a big hit with my daughters and was perfect for spotting all the wildlife. This was a good base for driving to surrounding areas. I would definitely like to stay at the lodge again in the future. The owner Sarah was very helpful and easy to communicate with, nothing was too much trouble.

This holiday rental house is OK. We had to pay extra for towels, and they were completely soaking wet when we arrived. The location is quite a distance from any interesting local activities. It was quiet at night and felt safe.

A lovely weekend break
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and were very impressed by the size and cleanliness of the property. We expected the area to be beautiful and were not disappointed in the slightest degree. We liked how peaceful it is, and loved watching the wildlife, the red squirrels being a particular treat! We would book again in a heartbeat!
