Waterfront Cottage on Keuka Lake near Penn Yan

Located lake side on beautiful Keuka Lake, the Oak & Amber cottage is newly renovated and only minutes from downtown Penn Yan, Keuka College and several Keuka Lake Beer & Wine Trail favorites. It’s the perfect cottage for a family or small group to take a break from the heaviness of everyday life, rest and feel reenergized.

At Oak & Amber, guests start and end their days with just the right amount of ease. Grab a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise. Sunrises not your thing? Cool off by jumping in the water or soak in a good book. Share a meal. Drink good wine. Tell stories. Smile, laugh and love your way through your vacation.

The main cottage provides simple, rustic, lakeside charm. With 3 bedrooms and an open floor plan, it offers both community and privacy. Three levels of new outdoor entertaining space--including a deck with beautiful lake views, firepit area, and covered patio--are the perfect setting for you to find the right mix of sun and shade while you rest, connect and be happy.

NEW in 2025: Outdoor stairs have been replaced and reconfigured to provide a more comfortable incline, as well as sturdier and wider steps.

A bonus building (we call the annex) includes a second full kitchen, bathroom/shower and onsite laundry facilities. It's a great space for guests to spread out and take in the lake views from the high point of the property. It's also a quiet spot for napping on the daybed, double bed or pullout sofa.

This lake house is just a few minutes away from some of the best wineries, breweries and antique shops, in the Finger Lakes, including local favorites Dr. Konstantin Frank and Abandon Brewing Co. You're also close to hiking, attractions and delicious, homemade ice cream at Seneca Farms. (It's a two-minute drive away...we've clocked it!)

It also includes a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill.

Lakefront includes swimming area, kayak launch, excellent fishing, and dock that can accommodate a boat.

Guests have access to the entire property, including main cottage, annex and grounds. Homeowner does reserve a portion of the home's lower level for storage all year long.

- Please be respectful to neighbors.
- Please refrain from entering neighboring yards, docks and waters.
- Please avoid littering on and around home property. All garbage and recyclables can be left in the marked bins by the road.
- Please turn OFF ALL electronics and lights prior to final departure.
- Please turn OFF ALL HEAT in the entire house (all rooms) prior to final departure.
- Please be kind and remove all food from home (both in refrigerator and cupboards) so to prevent spoiling and/or potential pest issue.

The property was perfectly located for our visit. The decks were our favourite place to view the lake from. While the inside was clean and had everything we needed, the window sills and screens were a mess. We couldn't open them because the screens were ripped or were full of holes. Definitely not good for fresh air. Also, an animal had left a mess on the carpet outside next to the main enterance. A little cutting back of the growth around the stairs would be good too. As older adults, we have enough trouble going up and down stairs without vegetation around our ankles.

We loved the location of the home near the water and listening to the water on the shore. The house is cute and well stocked. The porch underneath the upper porch was our favorite spot. It gave great shade and allowed us to sit right by the water. The bottle of wine was a very kind gift.

My husband and I spent a lovely week at Corrie's home on Lake Keuka. I loved listening to the quiet and water lapping on the shore. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the shaded area below the deck while reading a book. My idea of a perfect vacation. The hosts made wonderful suggestions about places to eat and drink, of which we took advantage. So many good places within a short driving distance. All in all, a wonderful vacation home and location.

Amazing girls trip!

We had an amazing bachelorette weekend for a soon to be bride! The rental gave a perfect cottagey vibe with cute decorations and beautiful lakeside views. We enjoyed all sitting around the large dining room table and using the fire pit on the patio, as well as cooking on the grill for dinner! My only suggestion would be to include at least one full length mirror in the main house, and designated hampers for used towels. We had so much fun and really hope to visit again!!

Perfect for what we needed!

My friends and I were in town for a wedding at crispin hill. This property includes two houses each with 2+ bedrooms and a bathroom. We only used the lower house, but would be perfect for multiple families. The location of this house was perfect and had everything we needed for our short stay. The house was clean and well stocked with essentials not always included at other stays including towels, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. Highly recommend for anyone needing to stay in that area.

Total Eclipse

Went to Keuka lake for the eclipse, the house was in a great location, close to Pen Yan and wineries. House had 3 bedrooms and 1 small bathroom. The annex house of which we had access to had another bathroom ( toilet and sink upstairs and a shower down stairs.) The house on the water had great decks to view the eclipse and the lake. Fire pit was great at night. House was clean and we were provided with lots of towels and 2 bottles of wine. This house would be best for a couple or a family with kids. Also would advise there are many steps down to the main house. All in all a very nice place. Oh by the way it was too cloudy to see the eclipse, but the wine helped!

Adorable!

Owners did a great job of updating decor and the view of the lake is spectacular! I would stay here again. It has plenty of sleeping options for groups. The owner was very communicative. Please note that there are a lot of stairs, but we were aware of that and able bodied.

Home away from home

Loved everything about this quaint cottage on the lake! From timely, easy communication to having everything we needed for our week stay it was perfect. Having direct water access off the house was a huge plus with our water loving son! Loved the beautiful dock and sitting on the water! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Amazing week!!!!

We had such a great week. The property was clean and well set up. Plenty of room and the outside area is amazing. Regardless of the time of day or the weather there is a space outside where you can be and feel completely comfortable. The water was clear and beautiful. Having all the amenities at your fingertips is a huge benefit. Corrie was available making sure everything was all set for me and my family. We are so happy we were able to find this gem. We will be looking to book the same week for next summer!!

Relaxing

This home was perfect for us. We were looking for a place to relax and recharge. The home was very clean, a lot of items were provided. The view couldn’t get any better. Having a covered patio was a major plus, that’s where we spent most of our time. And I loved having the second building on the property. It was nice to spread out and have some space . This was my first time renting a home, and this place was a winner. We will definitely be back.
