«Absolutely loved staying at the retreat. Danny and Helen are extremely welcoming, nothing is too much trouble (even helped to fix my car) ((be careful reversing in and out of drive, can be quite tight)). «Very quiet and quite private, especially as the owners were away. However their lovely friendly cat kept us company. Very good local small supermarket and petrol station within walking distance, also an excellent community cafe (the Market Kitchen). Comfortable bed, and even though the weather was v. hot it was quite cool in the cottage. Plenty of space for two, might have been a bit cramped for a family.»

«The Stable was a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights. Cosy, clean and modern and there was some sloe gin on arrival!One criticism would be the poor water pressure (I know there is not much that can be done unless a booster pump is fitted). This made the shower quite slow and also filling the kettle was slow.The Bluetooth speaker was a good addition and also Effy the very friendly cat!»

«We had a wonderful week at the cottage despite the poor weather. The cottage was warm and comfortable and the beds were amazing, so comfortable. The bathroom was really nice with a wonderful rain forest shower.Gail and Richard made us very welcome and were always around if we had any problems but not intrusive.All in all it was a great stay, even my mum who is 92 loved it and we will definitely be returning next year.»
