«We enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose the hotel again. It s a family run hotel and everybody is here to help. It feels good. The location is good, very short walk to the main street (2 minutes) and walking distance (20 minutes) to Ahu Tahai and its wonderful sunset. We chose a privat tour with the owner (Bill) and it was great. We got lo learn a lot, at a comfortable pace, far from the tourist groups. Strongly recommend it if you stay over.»

My stay at Hotel Ohana was nothing short of unforgettable, and it is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived in Rapa Nui, the experience was seamless, starting with their prompt airport pickup.

«Expectations for hotels on Easter Island are adjusted accordingly due to location. Rooms and furniture are dated, but clean and well maintained. There were a couple of mosquitoes in the room, which is understandable as the hallways doors to the outside are alway open for fresh air. After our first night, we kept the air conditioning at the desired temperature when we left for the day - instead of turning it up a few degrees. This helped reduce the mosquitoes upon our return. «This was more like staying with an aunt and uncle than a hotel. They invited me to share meals and encouraged me to use the kitchen and family room. You can’t be in a USA hotel frame of mind, but if you can leave that behind, you will enjoy your stay here!»
