«Onur is an amazing host! His 3 storey rental is ideal for families or friends travelling together. Hospitality, communication and cleanliness are top notch. The place gives a real taste of what living in St John's would be like. The view from the 3rd floor bedroom is great! Overall this rental would be 10 out of 10 as it is very convenient to walk downtown but away from all the noise. «This is the cutest little property. Very cozy and inviting. It was nice to be out of downtown St.John’s but still within walking distance. Quidi Vidi is a perfect little community. All the amenities we needed were in the room. They even had ground coffee for us ready to go, however I thought it to be unsanitary to have the little scoop left in the container. Not sure when the last time that was washed. My only real complaint was the sub par cleanliness. I ended up buying a pack of Lysol wipes ...

"Breakfast was excellent with individually cooked meals. Also had dinner at the bistro twice and was quite satisfied with the positive service by the staff and simple but well-cooked meals. Daily cleaning was substandard for a spa hotel like the Monastry, and I basically had to ask for a change of towels and for the emptying of the trash bins. It was also a bit strange when leaving the hotel at 6:30 am, as the reception was not staffed (and it should have been). It would have been convenient to have someone order a taxi to the airport and let you out. Then again, St. Johns is frontier territory, people are laid back and very polite to visitors, so I take the few nuisances as part of the pioneering spirit of the place. I would stay at the Monastery again."
